Checking bags at port?

Which airlines allow you to check your bags at the Port? Do you have to use Disney Transfers in order to do this?

It looked like all the majors were there. We were on US Airways and not only did we check our bags, but got boarding passes as well.

Nope. This is a service of the airlines, unrelated to DCL, and we happily left our luggage and went and got a car from Avis. Can't tell you how liberating it was at the end of the day to just drop the car off and go right to the security area. No hassles with schlepping luggage on the Avis bus.
