What a mess! We're in WDW now. We had 3 nights at Saratoga. The original reservation was for 5 nights, with 4 at Boardwalk. We've had a waitlist request for tonight and tomorrow night at the Boardwalk. We were notified that these two nights were available at the Boardwalk. But - in our excitement at getting 2 more nights at the Boardwalk, we didn't notice that it was for tonight at Boardwalk, then back to Saratoga for tomorrow night and then back to our original Boardwalk reservation for the 4 nights.

So we checked in here and they're telling us that they don't have a reservation for tomorrow night. They have us call member services to figure this out (we have reservation #s). That's when we discover the screw-up! We're somewhat appalled that MS thinks that people want to pack up & move 3 days in a row!

Of course, they try to work with us on this at the front desk here at the Boardwalk. So, our only option to moving resorts is to move to a Grand Villa for one night. So the 4 of us will be staying at a Grand Villa for one night (& eating up those extra points.)

Lesson learned! Always double-check all aspects of a reservation!

I'm totally confused by your situation but you're right -- check your reservations on the Member website if you have a wait list.

And waitlists that come through can be for one day, multiple day, and non-consecutive days - I don't think there's any reason to be appalled at MS. People do all kinds of moving around - no reason for MS to assume one thing or another.

I feel your pain. It would have been nice if MS made it very clear to you which days were open. I am sorry for the hassle this has caused you. I hope extra pixie dust is sent your way.

That's why we never got our BW view waitlist for last week when I went on it at exactly 11 months out. I wanted all six nights or none, and I got none. I couldn't chance it becoming available every other day. We were already moving once from BLT and for us, moving is a wasted day, so we only like to do it one trip per year.

Yuck! Sorry this happened to you! So you had reservation #'s for BWV but they really were not all for BWV?? I would be very upset about that.

In my case your thread prompted great news! We are down 12/26 to 1/2 mostly staying at Windsor Hills. I used many, many points for the Retirement-Birthday Extraganza in September. On a whim, and despite discouragement friom the CM I put a Waitlist in in November for NYE. First SSR came through for a studio, and now I looked and we're in BW! Preferred view, but walking distance from 2 parks! :woohoo:

I am sorry your situation didn't work out better.

No, the second night was for Saratoga, but since this was one week from our vacation, we just saw the first night from the waitlist was for Boardwalk & I had "assumed" that the second night was Boardwalk too. We would never have left Saratoga for one night, only to return for one night, then back to Boardwalk for our remaining 4 nights.

It really was our fault, for not looking closely at the changes. (which, BTW, were not E-mailed or snail-mailed to us. We only saw them on-line one week prior to the start of our vacation.) The problem on the part of MS was - when I requested the 2 nights before our Boardwalk vacation, I said that, of course I'd want only the night immediately before - or - the TWO nights immediately before. They assured me that that's the way it was requested. And that wasn't how it worked out for us.

Turns out - this was the night that ESPNU gave out several College Football Awards, so they needed all available rooms for those people.

The Grand Villa is very spacious! I can see it for......6 adults and a bunch of little kids!
