UPDATE: Dad called today and the state finally got back to him. The total of the 3 claims is over $9200!!!!!Old stock from Mom's past employer. Must have gotten the original paperwork confused with the stock pension plan she was in and didn't realize it was a separate account. Thank you OP, he really needed it. Funny how Mom is still taking care of him.

Me to, we kept joking that it was probably a $3 rebate or $.59 dividend check etc. Blew my mind when he called.

Been mezmoreized by this since I first read about it on here. Nothing for my husband and I but seen something for my mom, sister, brother in law, and sister in law.

Can anyone tell me how to easily search for this in the UK also? I found a website for it in the UK but it isnt helpful at all.

I found $100! Must be a rebate that whirlpool never sent me from 8 years ago. LOL Bummer that it won't get to me before Disney, but I will use it for Christmas.

Last night I did find something for my parents old business. It says it's over $100. Whatever it is, Mom says it's going in her Mickey fund for our trip next year!

I told her if it's big I want a finders fee

I wanted to share my story. There wasn't anything for my husband or myself (of course) But I did find one for my brother in law, where an insurance company owed him over $5,000! I sent him the info and long story short, he indeed was owed the money and recieved it in about 6 weeks, he even gave me $500 as a "finder's fee" !! lol....

I found one for my daughter but the address is wrong. It has 120 Main and it was 128 Main.

How can she prove she lived there if it's wrong?

Thanks OP, didn't know this existed. Nothing for DH or myself. However, I started putting in name of everyone I know and found DH's ex wife's current husband on there. Now to tell them or not to tell them The more confusing part is how to explain why you were checking their name

My name was on there. In my case it is current address and not that old. I'm guessing it is a rebate check that I never received or received and it never made it to bank ( got lost in papers etc). It was on state dept. of commerance website, a company I've dealt with in past, my name is spelled correctly and not normal spelling and amount would be a correct amount for a refund. Mine said something about outstanding check. I had to print form and mail with photo id copy and proof of addy. NO request for ss# which is good thing. I will try to update when I know more.

Thanks for bumping this thread. It made me recheck my state's unclaimed money site and I found my name!!!
