Once again Delta has made some changes to flights leaving Boston. My dates are 2/17-2/25. They seem to be cancelling some Song flights. I was suppose to have a 12:30pm flight out of Boston then they changed it to 2:45 pm. I called and was able to get on the 8:00am flight. So check your flights.

My flights for next JULY got changed out of Boston from Leaving at 8:50 am to 8:00 am and my flight back from 2:40 pm to 2:15 pm!!! The earlier flight is better for leaving Boston , but I'm losing more time on my last day now!!!

Steven'sMom be ready...I am sure your flights will change many more times before July!

We have ressies. for JAN. 06 out of BDL (CT) and since I made them in June I have had 6 flight changes in just 4 months. Some changes were for several minutes but others were different by a few hours.

I will be thankful that the flight will still be flying when we get to Jan. with all the flight changes/drops Delta/Song is making.

I check the flights every few days just to see what may have happened to it.

Happy flying to all! :flower:

Thanks to the OP I checked my flights too. They changed our departure by 15 minutes, no big deal really. What kind of bums be out is that we lost our seats that I had originally booked back last March. We prefer flying in the front cabin on Song planes. We're now wwaaaayyyy back in row 23. The rep on the phone could not tell me why I lost our seats when we have been on this flight all along, yet others who have been 'merged' into our flight seem to have gotten those seats.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not such a huge deal, but I did shoot off an email to Song.

Thanks so much for posting, Jenn.

I have two trips planned on Song (Dec & April) and all my flight times have changed. This time around the changes are no big deal (also got changed from 8:50am to 8:00 out of BOS), but I hope (especially for my Easter trip) they don't get cancelled. I would be very sad indeed if I had to cancel that trip.

Thank you so much for this posting. I just checked the schedule for my flight in July and it has changed by 55 minutes-no biggie but they no longer have the seats as assigned. I just called and made sure the seats hadn't changed. We were schedule for 7:05 am out of Boston but now it is 8:00 am. The flight back went from 11:00 am to 11:10 am, again no biggie but we like to sit towards the front of the plane. It is probably too much to hope for no more changes!

My flight home got moved from 5:00 to 4:45 about a month ago. Now, it's moved to 6:55!!! Normally I wouldn't complain about an extra 3 hrs in WDW but I just can't get home that late!! So, had to change to the only flight they had open...2:15!!! Now to wait and see what they do with my 10:50 a.m. flight down there. That's most likely going to change also....it's not even half full!!!! Here's hoping they move it to an earlier flight.

I've been checking mine frequently but seeing this made me check it again. Mine has changed several times by just a few minutes to about 45 minutes but the seats have always stayed the same.

I'm not worried about my flight down because it's the day after Thanksgiving and booked solid but I was worried about the flight home Dec 2. That one has changed at least 4 or 5 times. I was so afraid it would be now 2:15p like most others and when I did a search on their website only 11:00a and 2:15p show up for that day. I got right on the phone.

She told me yes, my flight # changed but my time only changed by 5 minutes yet again. It is now 6:55p instead of 6:50p. But this time I lost my seats. Instead of 5c, d, e, f, we are now 25 c, d, e, f. I don't like being that far back. Bummer.

I asked her why it wasn't showing up and she said it's because it's booked solid. I hope so. I wouldn't want to leave Disney so early our last day.

Just thought I'd share my experience.

I just posted another thread regarding this. Delta has changed my flight 3 times, we are leaving 12/23. If they change it so that it departs any earlier, I'm going to have big problems. Does anyone know if it is likely that Delta will change thier flight schedules AGAIN?????????

2 out of the 3 return flights for our weekend trip in December have been cancelled. The only flight left leaves MCO at 7:55 pm. Unfourtunately, there is no way we can leave that late. These were non refundable tickets that we purchased. So what will happen? Do you think there is any chance of getting a refund since they cancelled our flight? Or will it just be a credit? :confused3

When they cancel a flight or make a major change you are not happy with they have to give you a full refund or book you on a flight you would be happy with.

You can count on it.

I genuinely wouldn't worry. If you can't get reassigned now to seats you want... you know how when you look at the available seats online, MOST of the front of the plane is already taken? It's not. Those are actually seats they reserve for Premium customers, aka VERY frequent flyers. Want to test this? Go to flysong.com. Put in any two cities they fly between. I chose Boston/Orlando. For the date, select September 4, 2006. This is 331 days from today (10/8/05). Select "one way", then click the Next arrow. ALREADY, supposedly, rows 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 16 and 17 are completely occupied. On BOTH flights listed.

Anyway, my point - if you can't get seats you want by calling every few days, just get to the airport as early as possible on the day of your flight and ask to have your seats changed closer to the front of the plane. I've NEVER had a problem with this.

For the third time they have changed our flights!! Now like some of you its been a few mintues here and there, but the last one was for an hour difference. Plus they took our seats that I selected from the seatguru. com site. We went from 6E 6F 5E 5F to the 33 row! So, for a awhile I had to wait for thier site to be back up and when it was I quickly got some "decent" seats. I was fuming all day! Now I will have to adjust our plans for ME transportation and change my rental car hours, the whole thing is a pain in the butt!! I wrote(e-mailed) song a very testy letter stating my displeser, And yes, I know they are going to recite the "read the fine print" rap, but it just is not right! So, a few minutes after I sent the e-mail, I wonder who won the right to drop kick it into the rubbish!! :earsgirl: :smooth: :jumping2:

but it just is not right
Well, actually, it is right. Please remember that when you book airline tickets more than a couple of months prior to a flight, you're booking against a forecasted schedule, not an actual schedule. The schedule will change every few months. Your specific flight may or may not change, but it could. You need to ask yourself, would you rather be subject to changes, or would you rather not purchase your seat until the last month or two before your trip, because those are the only two choices that are viable to offer at this time.

Well...I have another vote for "it's just not right"!
I mean my original flight was for 7:00 pm and now it's for 3:30!!! Also, with so many changes that have already occured it leaves you with an uneasy feeling of WHAT NEXT???!
I mean how many more times do they plan on changing their flight schedules? I would change to a later flight, but I paid more $ to be on a nonstop flight and this 3:30 flight is the only nonstop flight they have....at this point!

I'm confused. Why would you be upset that they kept you on the only nonstop flight left? :confused3

I believe it's because their original flight was at 7pm. And I think that Dislifer is a teacher and can't make an earlier flight.

I have to say Delta is making more than just a change every few months. Lately it's like every week. Fortunately for me I like the times I have ended up with so it works for me. But I can see why Dislifer wouldn't be happy. I would think that Song would be adding another non-stop after 3:30pm. They always usually have one that leaves around 7pm.

I wonder if even all these changes can get the airline's costs down to something commensurate with how low their fares are.

Regardless, I think it was pretty decent of them to keep Dislifer on the non-stop flight.
