Well Hubby was going to do the grocery shopping and of course I am doing jungle cruise in my room and keeping out little one locked up with me cause she takes a hissy fit every time her daddy leaves without me. I hear my name and it was loud and I go gee I was right in a game.
I get up right away. He says call the fire department the car caught fire.
So I call 911 cause I have no idea what the fire department telephone number is.
Hubby said the car smoked inside and he got out to check the back since that is where the smart cars engine is. And when he went around the front flames were coming out the front vents.
He ran and got the fire extinguisher and put the flames out and rolled the car out side the garage.
So scary if we did not have one it could have been so much more tragic.
This happened around 10:30 am the fire department did come to make sure it was definately out.
By the time he called insurance and the rental place it was 11:20.
It closes at noon. And I call the taxi at 11:20 am did not get here till 11:50 ahhhhhhhhhhh. I called like four times.
Then told the rental place he is on his way please keep it open til he gets there. It is only 5 minutes away.
So now he is there.
This Easter we have so much to be thankful for. We are all safe and unharmed. The dogs were not happy during this time. But things seem to be back to normal for now.
If you do not have a working fire extinguisher go out and get one today. It saved our house.
So stress is not good for MS and body is a wreck right now but at least all turned out well.
Always check your extinguisher make sure they are up todate and always have one handy.
