Check Sunday's Paper

Just the usual add in the Chicago Trib. The codes sure would have made all this snow worth it!!

Nothing in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa paper. Not even the $1500 ad. AAA had a huge insert, but no prices for WDW.

Nothing in the Youngstown, OH or the Pittsburgh paper except for the $1500 ad. Guess it was too good to be true.

Now LET'S GO STEELERS!! :)

I checked the online versions of the Minnapolis and St. Paul papers and nothing there (I didn't expect to see anything since this will be an ad not an article). St. Paul has the option of a pdf file to view the paper, but not for the travel section.

I did see the same $1500 ad on tv last night, too. There have been a lot of TV ads for Disney lately.

Thanks for the heads up!! Unfourtunately we are expecting 2 feet of snow here by tomorrow morning, so I will not be able to get my hands on a paper!! Please, please, please...post it if it is a code that applies to everyone!! :cheer2:

I with you - I'm stuck inside with the snow and won't be able to get out. I hope someone will post the information. :)

Looking at the historical trends chart on Mousesavers, the codes for the next time period...mid-April through early-July didn't come out until March 9th of last year. We may not see them for awhile. The 2003 codes were even later in March. There were some Fort and Camp Wilderness ones though in mid February and in 2003 Ebony magazine posted one in mid Feb as well.

The Syracuse NY paper's ad was for 3 nights for $585 package includes roundtip air, accomodations at WDW, 3 day MYW base ticket ,based on stay at POP - this is all per person..... The Buffalo NY paper (per my mom) was for 7 days family of 4 (2 adults, 1 junior, 1 child) tickets, and hotel (value) for $1500 - no airfare included....

I'm with all you snow people has anyone read the Sunday paper up north? We have 3 feet of snow in front of our doors, we won't be going anywhere for awhile! AS long as we have TV GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!

The code is CST #1-22229-50 and refers to a six night seven day vacation for four (2 adults one junior one child) in one standard room during regular and value seasons. "now less tham $1500." Park tickets and "Magical Express" airport pickup.

I think I've seen this before, however. Maybe last week.

I am assuming they mean this at a value resort. What paper did you get this from? Are there limitations as to which states qualify for this or is this really just rack rate made to look pretty for the unaware?

This is the same "promotion" (not really a promotion, just rack rates) that has been all over the TV/magazines, etc. They have been advertising a family of four can go for $1500 (or less) since January 2nd.

Parade Magazine (in Sunday newspapers everywhere) had an ad with the family of four for 1500 promotion.
I'm sure that is what the CM was referring to, not any new code ads.

Nothing in Northeast Ohio. The 1500 promotion is available at Disney online. For travel 8-28 for 6 nights 7 days- room and tickets at pop for 4= 1419.47 with flight from akron/canton (Airtran)=2229.07

I will repeat my post......

I really think we WILL see discount room only codes, but in the past, they haven't come out until MARCH! Let me see if I can post a link to the "Historical Trends Chart" for you guys. Now, it does remain to be seen if they will be doing discounted packages, like they have always done, with the new tickets being so much less now.

http://www.mousesavers.com/faq.html#codetrends

Let's see if that works. If you scroll down, you can see the chart that shows 2003 and 2004 and when codes were out and for what time periods. Also, what and who the codes were for and when they were available for booking.

Here is the info if you don't want to go to the link...

The first dates are the check in range and then tells WHO the codes were good for and then WHERE they were good at, and then the date they became available and then the exp. date of the code

2003 dates

4/27/03-6/7/03 "available to anyone" code for Ft. Wilderness campsites 2/8/03, exp 3/8/03
4/27/03-7/3/03 "available to anyone" code for Ft. Wilderness cabins 2/8/03, exp 3/8/03
4/27/03-7/3/03 room-only code distributed in Spanish-language People and Ebony magazine (available to anyone) 2/17/03, exp 4/15/03
4/27/03-7/3/03 "available to anyone" room-only code and specially priced packages 3/14/03, exp 4/26/03

4/27/03-7/3/03 Florida resident room-only code 3/20/03, exp 7/3/03
4/28/03-7/3/03 Annual Passholder room-only rates 4/21/03, exp 7/3/03
5/26/03-8/23/03 package discounts for Disney's Visa cardholders 4/1/03, exp 5/25/03

2004 dates

4/18/04-6/5/04 "available to anyone" code for Ft. Wilderness campsites & cabins 1/20/04, exp 3/31/04
4/18/04-7/4/04 room-only discount for Disney's Visa cardholders 2/21/04, exp 4/17/04
4/18/04-7/4/04 room-only discount for Florida residents who are also Disney's Visa cardholders 2/22/04, exp 4/17/04
4/18/04-7/4/04 package discounts for Disney's Visa cardholders 2/22/04, exp 4/17/04
4/18/04-7/4/04 package discounts for general public 3/9/04, exp 4/17/04
4/18/04-7/4/04 "available to anyone" room-only code 3/9/04, exp 4/17/04
4/18/04-7/4/04 Annual Passholder room-only rates 3/9/04, exp 7/4/04

4/18/04-7/4/04 Florida resident room-only code 3/9/04, exp 7/4/04

As you can see, March 9 was the date that codes came out that were good for everyone. In 2003, it was March 14. Not saying it will be that way again this year, but I remember the 2001 and 2002 dates were pretty much the same time. Mousesavers doesn't have that posted anymore though.
