I made these sandals and booties for my granddaughter due in May.

Aren't they cute? One of the mom's at the dance school just had a baby and she is saving all her babies clothes form my DD since she is having a girl. I made anther pair of the booties for her little one.

My DD loves to crochet, she has made a blankie for every baby born to friend or family...no two alike.
I think people appreciate and makes it more special when you put so much time and love in a gift.

Those are really cute, especially the sandals. My DD had some like those for her Cabbage Patch doll. She also had some crocheted ballet slippers and roller skates. One of my mom's friends crocheted them for DD's dolls.

I have a pattern for the one pictured below. PM if this is something like what you are looking for.

This is made with #10 size cotton thread, what they call tablecloth type thread, not yarn. It might be able to be done with a fine yarn, but I would have to play with it to see the difference between the two.
