check on AP rates

There was no expiration date shown on the e-mail.

I have heard of AP rates or codes released in the middle of the day. Mousesavers is pretty good at posting them immediately.

Sigh...just called to check...the CM was really nice, he said it's only up to October (!!???!!!) but when he double checked he applogized and said it's only up to August 28. When I asked if he knew apprx. when it'll be out, he said Marketing dept keeps that on the hush and never tells them anything until they're released...

ARRRGGGG!!!

But he was so sweet though, he said I hope you're having a good day this morning...hee hee...I wanted to tell him so badly, I would, if you give me the codes for December!

But he was too sweet, didn't want to damper his day.

Sigh...oh well, back to the waiting wagon. Good Luck everyone!!!

FYI-the jan 2004 AP rates came out mid/late day in early December....

Isn't this a good sign, though about the email rates coming out this early? I would imagine a general discount or AP rate (which I'm personally hoping for) to come out for the same dates relatively soon. Perhaps I'm wrong in my thinking though!

What do you think, based on historic rates, the rate will be for a value resort w/AP for Oct?

We were going to stay at HIFS for $125/nt and free breakfast.

I'll need two value rooms for all of us. I just made ressies for ASM but can't really afford it without a discount of some type. So now I have ressies at both hotels!!!

When I just made the ressie's now for ASM the CM was soooo nice. She put me on hold for a LONG time looking for a discount, she said she really tried finding something, but there isn't anything yet.

Will I be able to apply a code to already existing ressies?

Does 'availability' mean that I have to be right on top of things/this board, and call as soon as someone posts that they got a discount?

Or could I possibly already be 'locked out' of a discount because I just made my ressie today?

I'm sorry, it's my first time with an AP, I just don't know the drill.

You're not "locked out" as long as they can switch your ressie over to a room that is within the AP discount stock so to speak. So if they have rooms available with the AP that are the same as yours, then they can apply the discount.
So if you're going at a particularly busy time or they have very little AP rooms within their stock then yes, you will need to be on top of things.


I was actually able to book an additional night at PC in June with my AP while we were already in WDW. That might make you feel better?
I wouldn't wait too long, but I think many of us stress a little more than necessary about calling first thing in the morning.

FYI:
I just called (Monday, August 2- 10:30am)CRO.
I was told to keep an eye on the AP section of disneyworld.com to see when rates come out for the fall.
The CM was very nice and polite but had zero info for me.
I guess we'll all keep waiting and hoping.
I can say "Thank god for this thread!!"

I was the one who originally posted the code for the January AP discounts. Disney was blaming mousesavers but the CM gave me the code (I didn't even ask for it). I was able to get the AP rate early in the afternoon. I believe the date was December 3. From what I remember, it was spotty as to if you actually got the discount until the next morning.

I called this morning and no rates for me either. At first I missed dialed the number and got a recording stating this number is not in service. My first thought was uh-oh all the diser's dialing in this morning overloaded the phone sytem and we broke it.

No AP rates as of 3:30pm-I was so excited for a minute as the CM said "hold on, let me find that code..." Then came the dreaded "only through Aug." oh well...SOON!!!!

Oh, that is too funny. Don't you think that Disney would figure out that between this and Cindy's breakfast that this is just insane, and there has to be a better way?
