check on AP rates

I do have a question for the AP experts. The new email discount blacks out the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Do you think that AP rates will be blacked out for those 2 nights also? AP rates were given last year for Fri. and Sat.

I just called and got a very nice CM who looked and was surprised that they were not out yet. She said she expected them to be out at anytime.

Hard to say. It could be. Usually the postcard/e-mail promotions are generally the same offers/dates as AP discounts. As to availability, I am going to guess that it will be relatively limited.

If I remeber correctly the same thing happened last year. First a code with the Holiday blacked out then AP rates came late August. I hope they were in late August because of the new software that went live during that time. That also was responsible, supposedly, for the lack of AP discounts iin September. In all my "watching" of AP rates it seems they are usually release mid moring so there is still hope for today.

Cindysgusgus, OT, how in the world do you get in the new passholder site. I tried everything last week and with the new format I can't get any of my APs to work. I only have 1 number at the end and tried putting in O and 1 and still can't get in. what the secret?

This is nuts! Today was the first time I got up early to call in search of new discount rates. What a let down. All the anticipation, trying to be the first t get thru, only to ask the question and simply hear "NO". I'm not a morning person. I tried to go back to bed, but no such luck. I'm up for the long hall now. Do you all think we need to do this every morning now until mid august? I'm in search of December rates. OMG this is going to be a long 2 weeks!

I was finally able to get into the passholder website today after many days. Perhaps its working again....of course no AP rates...but the site works.

Make sure you enter the date you received your AP not the date it expires.

How would you know when you received your AP? To get into the passholder site, I thought you entered the # on the back of the card which includes the date your pass was activated. Anyway, mine is not working this morning! Anyone else have any luck?

The next time a CM tells me a day to call, I will not believe them again. I wish if they didn't know, they would not just try to guess and let us think they know something.

I really thought that this morning would be the day especially with all those email postcards going out. I broke down a few days before the postcards went out and made ressies.....I know I should have waited so Disney would have empty rooms therefore they would provide our codes, but you know what.....I am glad that I made the ressies, since now that all the postcard people have had good rates to make ressies I would not be to sure that my dates would be available. I have several days in Oct. and the 1st week in Dec. If the codes do not come out soon or I am unable to to apply the code to my ressies I will cancel one of the weeks (Oct) I really think that Disney should be bombarded by all of us with emails concerning why we did not receive postcards too.........it's almost like discrimination. I know they have my email address since I did get an email telling me about my ressies at the WL in Oct. but nothing about my ressies in Dec. again at the WL. I am not bitter about those who did get postcards, but come on it has been several days now how about the rest of us getting a break! So Mickey if those codes don't come out soon I will have to break one of our dates!!

I dont know, I havent had any trouble as a lot of people are. Honestly though there is nothing on there that hasnt been said on here first. I will keep looking and updating people. Im sorry its not working for everyone though.

They even have a note on the passholder section at the top now saying they are having "technical difficulties." Mine works most of the time but occasionally does still say it doesn't match their records. I'm sure they are working on it. From the response I got to my email, they are hearing from a lot of people having trouble!

I haven't been obsessing over calling or checking the site bright an early. On our last 2 trips when watching for AP info (and one time in between them when I was just curious what they'd be) travel agents on other sites posted that tehy got the fax from WDW telling them AP rates would be released the next day, Mousesavers also had it ont he top that AP rates were on the way out. They even had sample rates, just not the code untill the next AM.

The travel agent who posted the rumor on the other board has said this morning that she was told today by a CM that they will be coming "any time now." Someone on another board was told they were coming in the first week of August but thta rumor was that it would not include September b/c the current room only code was doing so well. Of course I don't think the CMs at CRO know anything more than we do. When they send the email/fax to travel agents, maybe they can see the codes pending but untill then, they are just giving thier best guess.
