For anyone looking to spend time at Universal and stay onsite, be sure to check into the AP rates, even for just a short stay. I just booked a 2 night stay at Portofino Bay and the AP rate for a garden view room was $179 per night versus $304 for the rack rate. We are only going to the parks for 2 days, but it was cheaper for me to get the AP. I just got one AP. Then with the AP you can purchase multi-day tickets for other members of your party at a 15% discount.
I thought this was a great deal!
And of course....I will hope to be back within the year to further take advantage of that annual pass.
