About how early do you recommend getting to Vista and getting in line? I've seen people on the fb group saying they'll be there at 5:30? I know they start the process around 9, so waiting that long seems like it would drive me crazy, especially in the August humidity.

I'm definitely wanting to get a one bedroom apartment, so I know I'll need to be toward the front of the pack, so it looks like I might be showing up around 6 or so.

Also, does anyone know whether or not one bedrooms are rare/difficult to get? I doubt they have very many of them available, but the 2-3 bedroom units seem to be more popular on the fb groups so I'm unsure if I'm stressing out over this for no good reason at all.

You generally want to be at Vista by at least 8am, if not earlier. It won't technically start till 9am, but, yeah, there will definitely already be a line.

As far as one-bedroom apartments go, I think you have to be married/put in a special request ahead of time to get one? Don't quote me on that, but there aren't that many available and I know for sure that they give at least some to married couples doing the program together. You might want to call ahead of time and ask them about that. Which apartment you get and in which complex also depends on your program start date. If it's an earlier start date, you might have a chance; if it's one of the later, or last, start dates, then they'll pretty much pick your apartment for you. That's what happened to me anyway.

My husband and I are both hoping to get in(me a pending alumni and him a first timer pended) and im curious to see how the housing will work for us. I know they will make accommodations, but the part I'm curious about is if they will just have it reserved for us so we don't have to go over to check in so early(my husband and I aren't exactly morning people)

I had sent an email to Disney yesterday afternoon asking about the one bedroom apartments, and I woke up to an email in my inbox explaining that one bedrooms can be quite difficult for non-married participants to get, especially after the first couple of check in dates. It's not impossible, but not commonly assigned either.
