Ok my fellow disers i need your help!

My WDW vacation starts September 21st and ends the 27th..... i am going to be flying in at 9:40 am... we are staying at the All Star Sports....we got a really good deal!!!
now i know Check in is at 3 right???? we don't want to go into the park because we are going to be going in the park for the Halloween party later in the evening. Has anyone ever been able to check in early?? how early?? We are renting a car and going to be doing some shopping at the disney outlet when we get there but we kinda wanted to check in before 3 if possible. Any suggestions??

you can check-in as early as 6-7 am on day of check-in. your room may or may not be available. if it's not, you'll be given a number to call later on to get the room number. in either case, you will be given everything which includes your resort id with tickets. anything you're carrying and don't wish to take to the parks can be stored with luggage assistance until you come back.

You can check-in at any time of day but a room may not be ready when you do. You can store your luggage at the resort and maybe head to DTD if you don't want to go to a park that day.

You can check in at any time but whether your room will be ready is the question. Checkout is not until 11:00 and some guests take advantage of a 1:00 late checkout so unless they have extra rooms all ready you may have to wait. If you checkin and your room isn't ready they will gladly hold your luggage for you and you can do whatever you'd like. They usually will give you a call when the room is ready. So if you want you can check in and then grab the bus and go Downtown since you don't want to hit a park.

I'd like to know about the late checkout too!

OP - we checked in to WL around 11am. Our room wasn't ready, because we happily agreed to wait for one that met our room requests, but we were able to get our park tickets and DDP. I just had to go back later to get new cards with the room key added.

late checkout is granted on a space available basis.. up to 1 pm, it's free.. between 1-3 pm, it's half the rack rate.. beyond that, it's another night's stay. you need to request it by calling the front desk as soon as you can. if you call at 7 am the day of, you should be set. others have had success calling a day or 2 before.

how does the 1:00 late checkout work?:confused3

You must request it and it will be given if it's available and up until 1:00 it's free. I usually call the front desk in the morning the day before we leave and it's always been granted.

I stay at the Swan now so I've become a SGM and I have late checkout until 4:00 which is even better now. I still call the morning the day before my checkout to confirm it's okay though. :yay:

Thanks so much for the tip! We're not morning people and always fly home in the evening, so we'll definitely try to take advantage of late check out next time!

i want to say no, but i'm not a DVC connoisseur. the late checkout at the resorts is actually dictated by housekeeping. i believe at DVC because of the high occupancy rate and the amount of prep time for rooms that it's not an option. yeah, that sounds right.
