We have 3 studios reserved for Thanksgiving Week. Guests will be arriving the day before I do. What is the procedure at checkin. I will be putting the room in their name so there is no problem for them at time of checkin since I will not be there but is it customary to provide DVC a Credit Card at checkin. We have not been ourselves since this will be our first time also I am not sure what is needed and if this young family has a Credit Card.

Any advise or heads up would be appreciated.

They will be asked if they want to have a CC linked to the room key but it is not required. This allows you to use the room key to charge at most WDW stores and restaurants. The charges appear on your checkout printout as being charged to the credit card. If you are staying on points the room key will say "DVC Member" and if there are DVC discounts available the server/CM will be aware that you qualify. If you chose not to have a CC on the room key it will have a message printed on the front "Not for charging." If you have 3 separate studios then each studio can have its own (different) CC charge. You can decide who in your room gets charging privledges. Remember if you do get the charge option it is like a CC so protect it accordingly.

SO I do not need to worry if this couple has a credit card for checkin. Since they are staying on my points they will not be asked for a credit card as is customary at other resorts.

I was thinking I may need to supply them a card just in case they needed one for checking in since I would not be there until the following day.

Thanks for the help.
