Here's the link to the Disneyland Resort Express: http://graylineanaheim.com/shuttles.shtml. Click on the brochure link for more info. It's actually run by Grayline.

Debby, I think the $80 family pass is from John Wayne. LAX is $99.99. Ah, so glad we don't have to pay it.

Oh, yes, in my whining and petulance about getting the DLH, I forgot to mention that we are flying into ORANGE COUNTY!!!! Woo hoo. Ooh, maybe I'll see some Real Housewives at the airport (my one stupid guilty pleasure show).

That's a good idea as well. We should maybe have somewhere that we can communicate without absolutely everyone seeing it. :)

Ahhhh, but if you go private, how are we all lurkers going to live vicariously through you guys?

Seriously, I love reading about all the planning you are already doing and feeling the excitement in your posts! :goodvibes I hope at least one of you does a trip report so I can read it and see the pictures.

I posted on my Facebook wall the day I won the contest and my friends didn't believe it. Can't really blame them since I didn't really believe it until my name showed up on the website. Of course, I had to take a screenshot and post it on my wall too. ;) My good friends are happy for us, but I think some people think it's not fair because we go to WDW several times a year. Then again, not one of them even knew about the contest until I told them about it. :)

My Mom was so excited for us. She used to be a travel agent so she travels all the time. When I told her, she asked if she could come since DH is going to be deploying. I told her it probably wouldn't be very nice to take the trip when he was gone and we should probably do it before he leaves. Now she's trying to talk me into going with her and taking the boys on a Disney cruise over Christmas since DH will be gone. He'd be so mad we went without him! :rotfl:

I've heard trip reports are pretty hard core, like if it's lame or short, you will be tarred and feathered, and flogged with a wet noodle.

Well, tell him that's what he gets for getting deployed. Like it's his fault. Ooh, blame it on the government. That'll go over well.

LOL! That's the only one I watch too (shhhh, don't tell my hubby ;)).

Keep checking for a better rate. That $260 was the same rate they quoted me for the weeknights.

Yep, I'll be keeping an eye out for deals but I've seen some people say that they might not have any this summer with Carsland opening. It would be nice to stay in the same hotel the entire time but no biggie if we can't.

I bet if you ask over in the DL forum, somebody may know of a group code you can use.

Yes, I try to hide my RHofOC from my hubby, but he knows. And he makes fun of my when he sees it on my DVR. It's the only Housewives I watch though. I keep thinking I just want to slap Alexis. I've heard of Heather Dubrow (her professional name is Heather Paige Kent), but maybe I'm just old.

well I think trip reports and pictures should be a stipulation of winning!!!

If you don't do trip reports it would be like reading everything but the final chapter of a book!!

Exactly what I was thinking! LOL! :rotfl:

He's actually going to Egypt for a year and I REALLY want to see the pyramids so I'm hoping I can go there for his R&R and my mom can come and watch the boys. Hopefully the country will be a lot safer than it is now. Otherwise, my backup plan is to go on a cruise to Italy, Croatia, Greece, and Turkey. Ooh, maybe we could go to Disneyland Paris too! Apparently I want to go everywhere. Maybe I'll get through this trip first. :thumbsup2

Good thinking asking for a code on the DL forum. I have no clue how people get PINs from Disney. We've gone to WDW and I order maps, the CDs, e-mails, etc. and I've never gotten a thing!

I've never heard of Heather but I wish I was as rich as her. ;) Alexis is ridiculous and her husband creeps me out! Gretchen's my favorite, but probably because she's the most normal one. :)

I think we should definitely have a post where all the winners can go in and maybe do a short trip report each. That way we can all know the details.

I know that since everyone will be going before us, I'll be very interested in knowing what happens once you get there! Ugh who's idea was it to wait until DD's birthday instead of going this fall?!? ;)

I saw a million posts back where someone mentioned Disney giving a budget of $200 for travel expenses if someone opts out of the airfare. Does anyone know if that's true?

(On a very unrelated side note...watching House Hunters International and the people just bought an apartment in Paris for 4.3 MILLION!!! I don't know about you guys, but that's total pocket change for me. :scared1:)

Yay, now you can really enjoy your sushi!
Thank you! I was totally expecting to go out with my friends and not think about the whole thing. Then BAM I got the email right before I left the house. :lmao: So of course all I could think about was Disney again!

Great news! Congrats! :cheer2:
Thank you!

Yay! Congratulations!! :banana::banana::banana:
Thank you!!!

We got our additional days at Pop for $89 a night too! Now I can relax a bit. :woohoo:

On an unrelated note, if you get a chance to see This Means War the new Reese Witherspoon movie go cause it is super cute!

Really? From reading my travel paperwork, I would never have guessed that it wasn't Disney owned. That seems weird since at WDW, they have Disney owned "Magical Express" buses that run constantly between the resort hotels and Orlando airport. At WDW, they even pick up your bags from baggage claim and get them to your room before you arrive!

Disney doesn't actually own the Magical Express buses - they're all owned by Mears Transporation and Disney contracts with them to run the service. Occasionally you'll get a Magical Express driver who points out several times that he does NOT work for Disney, because he wants you to know they don't get the same benefits as Disney employees and are allowed to accept tips!

I don't know how you get PINs either, but I do know you can't share them. I heard about the gay days code over there, although, it was just the link for cheaper park hoppers, then from that link I found the code. Our friends are using the code too. Since I like to procrastinate doing my homework, I'll see if I can find something for you the next time I am avoiding schoolwork.

You think Gretchen is the most normal? Mostly. She hasn't had a **** job, and I respect that. I actually like Heather. She's stinkin' rich, but still seems kind of down to earth, not afraid to tell it like it is. She seems like she won't put up with the drama poop that everyone else likes to bring. I used to love Jeana. Then she left. Alexis' husband is gross, and it was not Peggy's job to tell her that she dated him. And, I'm sorry, Alexis is not a news anchor. She does fluff pieces.

I have that kind of money under the seats of my car, where it's fallen after I pay for something. ;) 4.3 mil for an apartment? Chump change.

I hang out on the TR forum a lot and I've never seen that happens. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I think it's a minority. Most people are very friendly. Feels like a community, kinda like here on this thread. :goodvibes

I think that's a great idea! It would be less daunting then doing full individual TR, while giving us lurkers (and other winners) a chance to get a glimpse of those winning trips. :)
