I’d assume so since you’re considered a resort guest for the check in and check out days. I’m curious whether you will need to have checked in first or not.

I’ll be at DLH next week and I’m planning on checking in online and using EE to go to the park before physically going to the hotel. I’d be surprised if something goes wrong. But I guess I’ll find out!

Edit: if no one else confirms first, I’ll report back next week when I stay.

Would you mind letting me know how it goes for you please? Thanks so much ! Have a great trip

You will need to check in and get room keys first as you will need valid room keys for guests to enter early entry.

I’m assuming the room key you get in the app would work? Even if it’s not active for the room, it’s active for the rest of the resort… pools, exterior gates, etc.

I suggest stopping at the front desk and get keys. The app will likely work, but not 100%, and what if your app crashes?

I agree that the most foolproof would be to get physical keys in case the app crashes. Of course if that happens, we’re not getting into the park anyway since our MKeys are only on the app!

I figure since it’ll be early, it’ll be nice to have the option to save a moment by not physically stopping at the front desk. But since we’ll be parking at the DLH anyway, there’s not really any reason to not stop by the front desk — barring a really long line at 7am.

I’ll report back what happens. I like to live dangerously! 🤪

Update as promised. The headline is I was able to show my reservation in the app for access to EE. Full story below…

At DLH today. Checked in via the app a couple days ago.

Arrived around 6:30am, valet’d the car and dropped off bags at Bell Desk.

I did not stop by the front desk because there was a line and only one front desk CM working.

6:45am in line at DTD security (by DLH). Long line down the block. Security opened at 7:02 and we were thru by 7:12.

There was a line at the monorail, and a sign advising that EE is for hotel guests only. We didn’t take the monorail, but it appears to be an option for EE.

7:21 in line at DL gates. Lines back to the monorail track. Gates opened at 7:30 and by the time we were in and walked to the EE checkpoint (by Plaza Inn) it was 7:42.

At the EE checkpoint they said we had to show room key or hotel reservation on the app. Showed my reservation on the app and we were in. It was easy.

But I think they should start opening the park gates earlier than 730. Even 715 would be better. Any wait at the gate, combined with the walk down Main Street, quickly eats away at that 30 minutes.
