Check in choices at BLT

In completing online check in, I noticed the options were for a) low floor, b) specific floor, c) balcony and d) close to skyway. I do not want a low floor nor the top floor either. Afraid if I ask for a specific floor it will limit where I may be located since I would be locked into that view. Being near skyway for convenience is not important either. If all the rooms have
balconies, why is this a specific request? Has anyone used the BLT request feature?

Nope, not yet. You could call MS and put your request in that way. Then you could also call the CR front desk a few days before travel and make your requests again to be sure.

Does Disney still allow calls to the Front Desk?

I thought that all inbound calls were answered by the call center in Tampa?

I agree. Why offer low floor and spcific floor, but not high floor? And what's with the balcony request? I guess that would keep you off the ground floor?

When I orginally made my June reservation, I added requests for a priority list of spcific room numbers. Do you suppose they have done away with that? I should call and find out.

The problem I have heard with requesting specific numbers is that if your choices are not available, you con get stuck in an undesired location. MK view with Lakeview rooms is highly desired. Unfortunately they can not have everyone request. Just left this blank when signing up since nothing appealed to me.

I don't like heights - so generally get a standard room (highest floor is 5th) - but last time had to get a lake view - first time it was floor 14th - have a big heights problem start shaking so asked for a lower floor - got me 5th which was great - room was not ready so went to the MK - when came back they again had put me up higher 11th floor this time - so again request a lower floor this time it was 6th - not anywhere near what I requested. (the 5th floor was exactly where I wanted).

so with BLT if you get the room you want when you check in - make sure they lock it for you. otherwise even though you have check in and though the room was yours - they can change it.

those of you brave enough to go to the 16th floor - great. I can only go to the 16th floor because that deck was made for people like me. No fallen off - it is around 4' height and 3' deep.

and since they moved someone into my room and put me on the 11th floor these people probably also had a problem with heights.

the rooms themselves since DVC wanted you to get a view - are floor to ceiling windows that is a big too much for me.

so can definitely understand wanting a lower view.

now balcony - though like you did that all blt units had a balcony... so not sure about this one either.

they are not saying even or odd number rooms - which is what I would like.
