Check in before booking excursions?

i have only done 1 Disney cruise and honestly don't remember the process. Do I need to complete the check in before I booked excursions and make dining reservations? Or just before we board? Thanks.

You do need to do online check-in by three days before embarkation - but the earlier you do it, the more selection of Port Arrival Times (PATs) you'll have. When you've completed it, there is a page to print out that you'll need to sign and bring with you on embarkation day.

I found when my window opened, I needed to book an activity to "unlock" the check-in.

You can do either the online check in (where you select your Port Arrival Time), or activities bookings (excursions/spa/nursery/adult dining) first. Whichever is more important to you to be sure you get what you want.

Yes. You'll need passport info, credit card info, pre & post cruise arrival/departure info.

If your credit card is due to expire before your cruise, you can just put that you'll be paying cash, then when you get your new card, go back and correct the info. I wasn't aware we could do that, and by the time we got our new cards we ended up with a lousy PAT.

If you don't have your flight info, you can put that you're driving. Just make sure you enter the correct info at least a week before your cruise.

Just to add on to what the others have said, if you would like to initially make the online check in process faster to unlock the PAT selection you can put random info then change it later. For example instead of selecting passport select birth certificates, cash instead of credit card, driving instead of flying, etc. You just have to make sure the correct info is changed at least 3 days prior to your cruise as said above.

I prefer to book adult dining and excursions first as I find those are the fastest to go if they are popular. Even after taking the time to book those, I've never had trouble getting an early PAT.
