Any word on the Check in experience at NYC today? Crowded? Upgrades? Boarding times?

We HAD to do it! We live so close...so I'm "saving money" by not needing airfare. My DH loves when I "save" money!
And to bring the cost down even more, the 2 nighters (6/15 and 8/10) are just DH and I.....no kids!!!!!!
I hope the Magic is in NY every summer-- forever more! (Well, after summer 2013 since it's already going to the Med!)

YES YES and YES!
I did the first sailing. They were enforcing arrival times and letting you into the terminal only if you were there at the right arrival time.

But check in was super smooth. as did PC day...they had people guiding you every step of the way.

Also, please do not arrive early. The Norwegian Gem and Magic came in this morning and it was hectic trying to get picked up by the car service. The cops were not happy with people trying to drop off at 10 am for the next cruises. It was wayyy to hard with the sidewalks full of departing cruisers for people to get dropped off, so please wait and don't come early.
