Check in at hotel for ship too?

Is it true that you get to not only check in at the wdw resort for the hotel and park tickets but they also check you in for your cruise too?

While its been a while since I've checked in a WDW, I would STRONGLY suspect that you CAN NOT check in for your cruise at WDW.

The primary reason I say this is because you don't have to have passports and photo id to check into a hotel like you do for boarding the boat.

Yes, if you are on the land/sea package from Disney. Not if you booked your WDW room separately from your cruise.

If it the l/s pkg all you need to do is check in once at your WDW hotel. They handle the cruise checkin as well.

This is the way it has been unless things have changed recently.

I do have the land/sea package so what do I have to have handy to check into my resort, does it take a long time?

The last time I went on the Land/Sea (2001), it took about as long as it would take you to check in to the hotel (maybe 10-15 mins. longer). Have all of your sailing party's passports (or BCs) and cruise documents with you. If it is still the same, I think I recall that they took some of our cruise documents (charge slip, immigration forms, contracts) on the bus on the way to our resort from the airport. In any case, it is all very well explained when you get there and Disney usually does a great job of making it a relatively painless and smooth event. Just remember that it is your vacation...relax and have fun!!!

We just did the l/s package back in May, and everything is still the same as DepCor said. Only they don't take your docs on the bus. I advise you to check in at the cruise desk first at your resort, it makes it easier. You check in at the DCL desk, then you check in at the resort desk, at least that is how it worked at CBR. That is the only time you have to check in, you can go right on the ship when you get to the port. Your KTTW card will also be the same for the cruise so don't lose it.
