We will probably be arriving at SSR at 11:30 AM on 11/20 and plan on going to the parks.
I have to assume our room would not be ready, what do you guys do with laptops in this case ?

Is it safe to leave them with bell services :confused3

We have left our laptop with Bell Services without problems. On the other hand, we put ours in a cushioned sleeve inside our regular luggage. We didn't want to advertise that we had a laptop by using a typical computer carrying bag.

If you are checked in, my guess is that you could also use the safe at the front desk. We haven't done so but it should be available to you.

I have used bell services at BWV multiple times both in and when checking out. No issues

Bell Services has a locked cage for laptops. I'd ask that it be put there and make sure you get the check receipt for the laptop too.

Laptops may be a safer bet than a camcorder given their larger size. A few years back we stayed at the BWV and had them hold a camcorder for us because we didn't want to leave it in the room and it went missing. Disney was more than great about reimbursing us for a new one, but the biggest bummer was that all the footage we shot earlier in the week was gone. I'm sure this was an unusual case, but there are always a few bad apples everywhere. :sad2:

We'll be arriving at OKW around noon this coming Saturday :yay: We are planning on taking a mostly empty carry-on to put the laptops and my husbands medications in for when we head to the Magic Kingdom. I'm going to put a travel lock on the suitcase and hope for the best...

4 DAYS!!!

Yep! Super-easy and makes SO much more sense to use their locked cage rather than try to make it inconspicuous. IMO. (and it's not just for laptops, but for anything you want to be extra secure)

That's actually where our camcorder was when it went "missing" - in the locked cage. We had to wait a week to make sure it really was gone for good, but we had the ticket saying what it was so that made the reimbursement process a lot easier. We've now gotten into the habit of doing what the previous poster does - putting our stuff in a locked suitcase. So far so good. Hope I didn't jinx myself! :)
