Check cashing at Guest Services?

I am trying to minimize the amount of cash we bring and cannot find the answer to this question ANYWHERE.... Can we cash a personal check or 2 at Guest Services while onboard the Magic?We shouldn't need it, but if we do, is that service available?

Only up to $100 per person, total for your cruise. I also couldn't find the answer right before sailing and called. I was so surprised at the answer I had them check with a supervisor. That was the final answer I got, although everone knows when you call Disney, it kind of depends on who answers the phone as to the answer you'll get! They will cash Travellers Checks, in any amount, at any time. You could use your personal checks to buy T. C., cash what you need and what what you don't, just redeposit at home or use for stuff you'd use your regualr checks for. It is a lot safer than travelling with cash anyway.

I suggest Traveler Checks if you don't want to carry a lot of cash. They are insured and they won't expire. We have done that in the past and there is no problem having Guest Services cashing them in as you need the cash. Kathy
