Okay, okay, so it's NOT disney, but we need some kind of fix before Sept :cool2:

Anyone get a great deal on a six flags season pass? If so, where?? Right now they are $64.99 online....????

TIA :goodvibes

I live in the Nashville area, about 3 hours from 6 Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Right now they are advertising on tv a deal for $39.99 season pass, which includes 5 free guest passes. It truly seems too good to be true. I'm wondering if it is only valid at that one park, even though they are usually valid at all parks?

They are supposedly being sold at Kroger. I'm going to look into it tomorrow!

formernyer, I would think it's the same as we have here in Texas. Brookshires here has them for 47.99 every year, valid only in certain zip codes. But they are good for any six flags park. You just have to change the paper ticket you get at the store for a season park pass at the park if was purchased for. Did this one year here, season pass for Dallas/Fort Worth, used it in San Antonio and Houston (now closed) that year. Comes with coupon book giving free passes and other things. All in all, not a bad deal.

Here in Maryland they are $49.99 per person and I think the latest special is if you buy 4 passes you get one for free. We get passes to ours every year and then we make sure we make a few trips up to the one in NJ, because that one is great! Ours is just mediocre.

Wow...I would LOVE to get passes that cheap!!! Six Flags in NJ passes start at $99. IF you can find one of the deals. which normally means you have to buy at least 4 at a time.

I just paid $69.99 for Seasons passes here in Georgia. Normally they are $74.99. This price ended on April 30th.

No much of a savings but some.

They are $84.99 each for Illinois right now.

Do you think it's possible to call a store somewhere else in the country and credit card order them over the phone and have them mail them to me? I wouldn't mind getting a season pass for $39.99!

You have to be there in person to get your pass processed the first time. Once you've done that, then in subsequent years you can just order them online and have them delivered.

Yeah. You have to activate the pass the first time at the Six Flags you purchased the tickets for. But then you can use them anywhere.

We bought ours for $84.99 each (x 4) for Great America. But DH & I already went once. DD14 and DD11 went 2 times so far. PLUS we brought my Sister and Niece on Mother's Day for free with the free tickets. So, it was worth it to us so far.

If you have a Chase credit card you can get 4 tickets for $100. I'm pretty sure this promotion is still going on. I bought mine last week. You book this through Chase's website. This is for individual tickets.

Are you sure you're going to go multiple times? We bought season passes a couple of times and still only ended up going once or twice so it ended up not really being worth it. Six Flags St. Louis is about a 45 minute drive for us. If it was closer we'd probably go more often but we never seem to want to do the drive.

If you only think you'll go once or twice it might be worth using the promotion where you can buy 1 get 1 free during the week or save $10 on the weekend.

That is probably the best price you'll get for season passes. If you do buy them it is worth it to purchase a parking pass and also to upgrade one of the passes. The upgrade gets you savings on your purchases and we came out ahead with that.

If you decide to puchase one day at a time tickets you can earn free tickets at mycokerewards.

We end up doing one day at six flags each season and then do other fun activities rather than going back again. After Disney my family isn't overly fond of six flags any more.

Thanks for all of the info...I had NO IDEA that it was different everywhere! Learn something new everyday and all that jazz.

Yes, I'm sure that we'll go more than once. My girls are still quite small, so that place is still a huge deal to them. It's only about 1/2 hour from us, so that makes it easy. Also, it's better for us to do part days there, so I would rather have a season pass than to buy a full day ticket and only go for a few hours each time (even at buy one get one free).

Though, now that you mention it...I might just get DH a jazzed up one for the discounts, me one and then use coke rewards and papa john's to get my daughter hers each time for free...my smallest is still young enough to be free. It's a thought.

Thanks all. Enjoy the summer :)

I bought 7 passes this year. I have two, both about 2 1/2 hrs from me. I just spent 3 days at one of them and my brother lives about 15 minutes from the other. I take day trip that will make me travel more than the 2 1/2 hrs all summer so I'm sure I'll get good use out of them.

I do suggest you bring a tape measure with you since they don't know how to make a height sign or stick. I made sure my youngest was 42 inches before we went so he could do a lot more rides with the family but every time we went to measure him, he was always too short. it was very inconsistent though, sometimes he was an inch, sometimes it was a half inch, sometimes it was 2 inches and one time it was 6 inches! We tried to get him on the river rapids ride and the guy measured him and said no, they changed castmembers and then I watched 3 kids his height (as I was walking off, I warned the parents about the height thing and they stood their kids next to mine) and one kid a good 3 inches shorter get on and off the ride. Even DH said we are bringing a tape measure next time and will be talking to someone about their inconsistancies. It was The Great Escape one in NY.

We are 5 minutes from SIx Flags over Texas and get passes every year. The cheapest ones for our park are the family 4 pack at $69.99 each. All passes are not good at all parks. They will not work at some of the water parks nad a couple of the theme parks. Check it before you get the pass and make sure. Also you can only buy parking for you "home" park. That is the one where you buy and process the passes. Don't know about the other parks, I know some have free parking, but SFOT charges $15 a day for parking or $50 for the season.

Also those in DFW area, if you have not seen it they are offering a combo pass for SFOT and Hurricane Harbor for $109 this year. I still find it annoying that Hurricane Harbor is across the street and we cannot use our regular season passes there. The $109 makes it slightly cheaper than getting individual passs for both parks. Oh well, guess they gotta get all the money they can from us!

Some of the parks offer a one time height check when you enter the park and get a wristband that says what you are tall enough for. They also are supposed to go by the metal sticks here, though how the employee holds them varies. Some will tilt them to get shorter kids through the line, some go the other way with it. MY advice, go buy the thickest soled tennis shoes you can find! Oh, and some will let hair count as height, my sisters DD got by on rides when she was borderline because her pony tail stuck up another inch.

I live in Louisville so we are only about 20 minutes from Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Our season passes here are $54.99, but I spoke to my mother-in-law who lives in Indianapolis the other day and the same passes (the ones for KY Kingdom) there are $39.99. So, I'm going to have her pick some up there for me. It seems like if you get about 100 miles away from the actual park, the prices drop.

I live in Nashville. I also heard the commercial on TV. I went to Kroger and it took 30 minutes for them to find out anything about this. Finally, they found the passes. I bought one for my husband. We had to take the card to six flags and trade it in for a real pass. The 5 free passes are not what they seem. They are in a coupon book that all passholders get. They are "bring a friend" passes for very specific days. One was for mother's day ( now expired). I e-mailed 6 flags and complained about the false advertising. On a side note, I got a free pass with my coke points, DS had a free pass from school, so we had a great time. It was our first trip to Six Flags. We went on Memorial Day and waited in noooo lines. We walked onto everything.

We drove down to Maryland to get our passes for about half the price this year, and had a great day at Six Flags America. I agree our NJ Six Flags is way bigger and better in lots of ways, but the change of scenery is nice sometimes. I'd definately go back and have my Mind Erased again :goodvibes:

well, according to the DR. he was 42 inches barefoot and had sandals on in the park. What killed me is that none of the measuring was consistent. But on one roller coaster. he stood in line, got in and pulled down the bar. Then the person came over and asked to measure him, he got out, stood on his tip-toes before he went flat foot. She said he couldn't go on right to him, but he said OK and went and sat down again in the coaster. She didn't kow what to do. just kind of looked at me. i did make him get up but he was not happy. I'll have to find out if they ahve the wristbadn thing when we go.

Yeah, they talk about that here too with the bring a friend passes. I rarely find anything useful to me in the coupon book, as we never eat in the park and don't buy much there except our refill cup. At SFOT the bring a friend days are extra crowded too. I think we used a bring a friend pass one time in the last five years.

I love no lines. We go weeknights for about two hours before they close. Unless there is a special event there are usually no lines. We had to wait in line the other day and the kids were like "but mommy, why cant we just get on?"
