They are $84.99 each for Illinois right now.
Do you think it's possible to call a store somewhere else in the country and credit card order them over the phone and have them mail them to me? I wouldn't mind getting a season pass for $39.99!
I do suggest you bring a tape measure with you since they don't know how to make a height sign or stick. I made sure my youngest was 42 inches before we went so he could do a lot more rides with the family but every time we went to measure him, he was always too short. it was very inconsistent though, sometimes he was an inch, sometimes it was a half inch, sometimes it was 2 inches and one time it was 6 inches! We tried to get him on the river rapids ride and the guy measured him and said no, they changed castmembers and then I watched 3 kids his height (as I was walking off, I warned the parents about the height thing and they stood their kids next to mine) and one kid a good 3 inches shorter get on and off the ride. Even DH said we are bringing a tape measure next time and will be talking to someone about their inconsistancies. It was The Great Escape one in NY.
I live in the Nashville area, about 3 hours from 6 Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Right now they are advertising on tv a deal for $39.99 season pass, which includes 5 free guest passes. It truly seems too good to be true. I'm wondering if it is only valid at that one park, even though they are usually valid at all parks?
They are supposedly being sold at Kroger. I'm going to look into it tomorrow!
Some of the parks offer a one time height check when you enter the park and get a wristband that says what you are tall enough for. They also are supposed to go by the metal sticks here, though how the employee holds them varies. Some will tilt them to get shorter kids through the line, some go the other way with it. MY advice, go buy the thickest soled tennis shoes you can find! Oh, and some will let hair count as height, my sisters DD got by on rides when she was borderline because her pony tail stuck up another inch.
I live in Nashville. I also heard the commercial on TV. I went to Kroger and it took 30 minutes for them to find out anything about this. Finally, they found the passes. I bought one for my husband. We had to take the card to six flags and trade it in for a real pass. The 5 free passes are not what they seem. They are in a coupon book that all passholders get. They are "bring a friend" passes for very specific days. One was for mother's day ( now expired). I e-mailed 6 flags and complained about the false advertising. On a side note, I got a free pass with my coke points, DS had a free pass from school, so we had a great time. It was our first trip to Six Flags. We went on Memorial Day and waited in noooo lines. We walked onto everything.
