Cheapest place for one day passes

My SIL and BIL are coming to town. They did not want to go to Disney. Now they say they wouldn't mind going to AK since they have never been there. Can you only purchase one day tickets at the gate or can they get them discounted somewhere? Thanks!

As far as I know, the one day tickets are only available from Disney. I have bought from several brokers and they all say this, unless things have recently changed.

Only available from Disney theme parks, resorts or Guest Relations. Non-discounted except for FL residents (photo ID required for each adult ticket purchased).

How about discount for late entry? If we were to arrive in the afternoon and want to spend a few hours at the park or if I had a conference during the day and wanted to go to the park late afternoon or early evening?

Most conventions and meetings offer an "after-2pm" ticket that can be purchased thru the event organizers. The cost is about $44 (adult or child).
