Cheapest hotel within walking distance to Universal Parks

We have a two week vacation to Florida coming up in August. I have 6 nights booked at WDW and 8 nights at a villa. I was thinking that maybe we would book an overnight at a nearby hotel that we could walk to the Universal Parks but only take overnight bags. This way we could enjoy an evening at Citywalk and have a couple of drinks without having to worry about getting back to the villa. We will be there the last week of August when the crowds are projected to be at their lowest so wouldn't need an onsite stay with express pass.

I think Cabana Bay would be your best option.

Cabana Bay would most likely be cheapest. There is walk to to the bus stop for the CBay transpportation.

Sapphire Falls has a water taxi (boat) that will be even less walking for just a few bucks more.

You could also take the Sapphire Falls boat, then walk next door to CB. There are nearby offsite locations, but all would require you crossing multi-lane roads...and probably priced no better than CB or SF.

Having to cross Kirkman Road any time of day is indeed a treat!
