I am getting the Ipad for Christmas so I can dowload the aps for the nook, kindle and ibooks (or so I am told). Does anyone know which ap normally sells the books the cheapest? Thanks!

Anything from the "Agency 5" Publishers

MacMillan
Penguin
Hatchet
Simon and Schuster
Harper Collins

Will be priced the same no matter where you buy it because the Publisher fixes the price. Other titles, the last survey I read stated that Amazon is still running about 11% lower on average, but it still pays to shop around.

You can use the Inkmesh website to price compare.

Kobobooks.com often has a higher price but they almost always have a current coupon code. Today's was 25% off I think and I believe there is also a standing one for 30% for new customers. I've seen them as high as 50% off. They aren't good on those Agency 5 books but anything else is discountable.

Since you have the iPAD don't forget to check out your library Overdrive system if they offer it. Overdrive just released an iPAD app and there is another one .... Bluefire Reader.

My DH was just checking some book prices last night between the nook, the Kindle and iBooks. Everything he looked up was the same or within a $1. They don't all have the same selection of books though - I was looking for something the other day and you couldn't get it on the nook app, but could on the Kindle app.
