There was a thread around a bit ago about where to find eye glasses cheaper. So, I was wondering... Where do you folks get your contact lenses cheaper?

On a very limited budget (recent divorce) and need to get my DS15 his year supply.

Thanks for any and all help!

Happy Tuesday! :sunny: :sunny:

COSTCO, in most states you can purchase pharmacy and optical even if you're not a member. Non-members have to pay cash, AMEX and possibly ATM.

Also check with your eye doctor. Depending on how your son cleans the lenses you might be able to extend the time between replacing the lenses. Some people can use a 2 week lens for 3-4 weeks, particularly if they don't sleep with them.

I will definately ask DR about stretching the use out.

I will check with COSTCO (we don't have one up here that I know of. bummer!)

I have used BJ's, but I was hoping for cheaper than that! ;)

Always trying...

Happy Friday! :sunny: :sunny:

I was just notified by my Walmart optician that there will be a special November 23-26. I believe you have to order at least 8 boxes, but it's pretty cheap overall. I can't remember the price per box? Maybe you could call you local Walmart and see if it's a countrywide promotion.

I thought costco was cheep but when I went to buy them if I remember correctly it was more like $17.00 for a box of two not $14.00. I will find out this week when I go for to buy some more. If they are that high I'll try walmart. I get a allowance from my vision insurance and purchased them thru my eye doctor so I had stocked up back than when they first came out. My doctor was selling them for $50 for a box of two. Much higher than costco I had thought.

Most places will price match. Call around for the best price and then ask to price match!!

Ohhhh....this is good to now. I just paid over $20/box for these from my dr. -- a family friend who must not be such a good friend!!!

Since our locqal Wal-Mart doesn't have a vision center and Costco isn't close anymore I order mine through Visondirect.com I got them for $14.50 a box plus shipping. So my total was like $33. And if you sign up they'll send you discount codes.

Well, since my prescription is so expensive, I've been shopping around. Lenscrafters sells them for $44.95. There and a lot of online places are cheaper if you buy a year's supply. I've seen them as low as $39.95 online (with rebates or buying a 1 or 2 year supply-$34.95). So I was happy that BJ's had them for $39.95 and I only had to buy 1 at a time. But I checked Costco and theirs are only $34.95! Of course, that is only for 1 eye so I still have to buy 2 boxes at a time. :rolleyes2
