doesn't matter to us but planning on leaving sat or sun over pres day 2012..heard it is crazy busy in disney..whod a thought...maybe sat, get out of town or cheaper to stick around to sun..historically...:goodvibes

If there's a difference in price, it won't be significant...but if you need to be anywhere on Monday morning, it is much safer to do Sat to Sat...one little blip and you may not make it home...if anything happens to your flight, be it weather, overbooking, mechanical, etc and they have to rebook you, you will not have a spot available that day. We had a problem on Sat, originally they were not going to be able to get us home until Tuesday! After 3 hours, we managed to work out a way to get home Sunday.

If you are planning on renting a car, keep in mind that rental cars are usually considerably cheaper with a saturday night stay.

But, wouldn't they have that either way? If they go Sat to Sat, then the first night is a Sat, if they go Sun to Sun, then the last night is a Sat....

What you say is true, but the OP doesn't indicate when they are staying until only when they should leave for WDW, Sat or Sun.

The late Sunday flights out of Orlando usually go first, then the late Saturday flights, then the early Sunday flights, then (about the same time) the Monday and early Saturday flights.

yes we will be there from thur before..so we will have a sat nite...but i have not heard anything gd about the week befor so we may move it up a bit

Not an expert but my brother and his grown children and grandkids went to WDW for this pres. weekend and week.

WOW the airfare was so high they had to drive.

Normally a ticket from Detroit Metro to MCO is between $160-$250 depending on carrier and such.

But to leave pres wknd, 1 ticket was over $600....COACH! That wasn't firstclass. (first class was $1000+)

So if next year is anything like this year, I wouldn't say it will be cheap by any means.
