Cheaper flights for the future?

A bit late with their story Nigel, been on sale since last year, many booked with them :rotfl2:

Headline price looks good but you have to match a return leg at a low price and £35 each way for meals & luggage (only 20kg)

Lets hope they keep expanding and keep the prices down.

This is exactly it Wayne - the headline price is rarely the price you actually pay. I was checking for flights to FLL in April next year. Although they're only on sale up to the end of March at the moment, the majority of flights around that time are starting at £370ish for one way only. By the time you add on baggage fees, you're probably not saving much over the other (tried and tested) airlines.

A possible March 2015 trip would cost us £459.20 with Norwegian Air, whereas a midweek Virgin flight is currently £442.59 from Manchester or £444.19 from Gatwick.

Both entails a 3-hour drive for us but with Norwegian Air there's a similar long drive from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando, so for those dates Virgin seems to be a better price at the moment.

But just received an email this morning from Aer Lingus with 20% off flights, offer is on for 1-week only for September through to next March and although the price is about £70 more, there's less cost and time in getting to a our local airport....:scratchin where's that calculator..

And it's a weekend flight plus you can still select your seat during the booking process I believe......best to start a new thread so to highlight the Aer Lingus sale.

Oops!..... Sorry guys
I thought it was a new option as it only appeared in yesterday paper.
That the price you pay of being retired....no spare time to lurk around on the boards! :surfweb: :thumbsup2
