My girls asked for gymnastic mats for christmas...both are in dance/acro. I checked amazon and they are over $100! I'd like a flat one that folds up and an incline one. Any ideas? Already checked ebay and craigslist - all are insanely expensive especially when you add shipping.

Should mention I am looking for something at least 2 inches thick, probably 4 X 8

Try asking your instructors where they order theirs from....when I used to teach we would actually sell them as a fundraiser before Christmas...students would get a discount and the school would make a little extra money for supplies!

Try 10.0, but I don't think you are going to get one for under $100. Mats are expensive.

I bought mine used from a closing gym.

Maybe you can ask around.

If you lived locally, I have a roll of the flooring they use in studio that I'd be happy to give you (it's the foam flooring that you can do some basic stuff on). Heck, if we could figure out a way to ship it, then it would just cost you shipping.

I bought it, but never had any place to put it.

Check with the schools around you to see if they have any old ones to sell (not just gymnastic schools but your elementary/middle schools ,etc.)

Wish you lived in north Texas - you could have ours, along with the practice beam!

I hope someone can help you, but I never had much luck. Santa brought my son one years ago, but he paid $185 and it's just a flat (tri fold) mat. It seems like I saw an incline mat on our craigslist a bit ago. Maybe you should just keep checking.

Thanks, I am going to try their dance studio and the local schools if not Santa will have to suck it up LOL At the very least I know they will get plenty of exercise with them so I know I will get my money's worth. Right now, they are using my furniture cushions....I'd rather pay top dollar for mats

Go to Google, type in gymnastic mats and then click on shopping. A bunch popped up, but the one that caught my eye was $120, with free S&H (if you spend over $50) and it is on the Target site. I'd post the link but I'm not sure if I am allowed to.
