Hi guys
I've asked this on the UK board but they suggested I find something in the USA so I'm asking you guys for help PLEASE!
I use GHD hair straightners at home to tame my fine, frizzy, partially curly hair. I don't like to put tons of product on my hair and I find these, with just a little serum, straighten my hair and keep it soft and silky. However, my GHDs are a few years old and don't have the dual voltage option. If I bring them to the USA they just don't have enough power to heat up and stay hot. I've tried some other UK cheaper brands and they're not as good - although this was a couple of years ago. In the past I've borrowed my friend's old phillips travel straighteners and, while they do ok, they do not work anywhere near as well as GHDs and take longer.
The UK boards suggested I get a cheaper pair of straighteners at target or wallmart to travel with (which I can do cause I can have them sent to a friend in california and pick them up when I get there). But I'm clueless as to what's good.
Can anyone (who understands the whole 'argh' hair issue) PLEASE suggest some alternatives. The cheaper the better as I'm broke (expensive few months) and I don't really wanna spend over $50 (and would prefer less). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help
Thanks
