My Family and I are planning a 7 day vacation to WDW in January 2004. We are going to stay on property like always. We never vacationed to WDW in January and do not know what rates to expect. But, I did notice this past January that the rates were quite good. Whats the chances of those rates again?

Cheaper is always better to me at a resort because I'd rather spend the money on somthing else then a place to sleep. I know concierge floors are the way to go and that is probably what my parents will go for, but I'm 22 and need to save for almost a year and a half to afford the cheap places unlike my parents.

Anyways, I would really like to stay at either the Wilderness or AKL for three nights (hopefully getting a discount on a standard room) and then staying at a value or moderate for four nights(also hopefully getting a cheap rate).

What would you stay the expected discount rates will be in January? Any other tips are welcome. Thanks

Hey Mike,

I am planning on WDW trip in Jan. 2004 and hoping like you for the same great discounted rates like this past 2003. This is a pretty good time to go visit. It seems to be a slow time for them, so I am thinking the chances are pretty good. I am going to book the WL woodsview. It looks like the discounts come around Oct. for January. So if they come out with such great deals as this past Jan. I will see about going to a conceirge room or my dream hotel the CP Tower. It also takes me a good year to year and a half to save up, but hey its worth. And its great to have it paid off when you come home. This will be my third trip. :Pinkbounc

I had asked in a previous post about the rates in early December (also a slow time) and someone posted that rates were about $119 plus tax for that time of year and the rates came out in July (or Aug). Although those rates expired in Dec, I would guess there were similar rates for this past January. I'm curious if anyone who stayed at a deluxe at January (not using AP discount but a code, etc. available to anyone) could post their rates.

Hi neighbor!

Here's a thought...one that would have turned my stomach at age 22. If your parents are going to be staying concierge why not spend the 3 nights with them? Pay for the added cost of an extra adult or show them what a conscientious person you are and give them what the cost of what a standard room would be. You'd have all of the benefits of concierge at the standard rate.

Over the last few years I've seen upsells being offered at AKL for $99 a night. I would plan on a rate of about $120 a night plus 11% or 12% tax.

I'm planning on a trip in the slow part of December (week before Christmas ) and also hope the specials are announced in August, like in 2002.

I think last year they offered AKL or WL for $129/night, POFQ-RS for $89/night, and ASMu-SP for $55/night.

Peace
