Cheap apartments in Boca Raton, FL area?

Help! DP going to grad school at Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, FL) in August. We are looking for cheap apartment for him to live while I get house ready to sell (live in Raleigh, NC). Anyone live in area or perhaps student at FAU that could give some advice? Flying to Orlando on Friday then driving to Boca Raton for weekend to look at potential areas, then spending week at WDW!

Cheap in Boca Raton? That sounds tough. South Florida is pretty pricey. Congrats to your son!

Sorry I can't be of much help with apartments. There are lots of apartments right around the University area - a previous poster already gave links to the local newspapers. I am familiar with FAU, so if you have other questions, let me know.

We too are looking in that area. DH is looking at a job in Ft. Lauderdale, so we are looking for decent apartments in that area that will take our cat and dog. It's going to be hard.... we are taking a LARGE paycut to take this job too. Mostly b/c we are losing my salary so it will be a challenge. One of those one step back to take two steps forward things!
