Nope, I'm still here, at least for a few more minutes.

What's up?

My day was somewhat crazy. I worked 2 1/2 hrs OT and ended up locking the office and setting the alarm. I just had so much to do today. That and one of my co-workers was out today so I had to ask each employee if they wanted to attend the company trip and who they wanted to bring with them. It was a lot more time consuming that I thought it would be. They all asked me tons of questions, were fickle about their decision and said no and then changed their mind later. It was funny how more than 6 no's turned into yes's! :lmao: Most of my co-workers went to my desk and started looking at my poster map of DCA and asked questions about rides. I felt like a Disney tour guide. :rotfl2:

I was surprised when a few of my co-workers mentioned that they had not been to DL in 10 years. One of them asked if they still had Carousel of Progress and another asked if the People Mover was still there. I told them both were gone and they were bummed because they loved both as a kid. I miss those things too.

Today was good. The boys and I had lunch with my parents at the local Rain Forest Cafe. DS4 was just enthralled with all the fish tanks, and kept hopping up to go watch the fish. It was really cute. Until he disappeared, of course. After about a minute's panic, I found him in the gift shop. :headache:

DH added miis for himself and DS4, so we all did wii Fit together. It was hilarious! DS4 has trouble standing still, so trying to get his BMI was difficult, as was doing the balance type of activities. He did really well in the short run, though he couldn't quite get the hang of the hula hoop. :rotfl2:

Tomorrow is swim classes, and hopefully some birthday shopping for DS7. I am hoping we'll take the boys for haircuts on Sunday. They're looking like shaggy dogs...

How was your day? Are you guys going to DL this weekend?

Oooh Rainforest Cafe has really good coconut shrimp :goodvibes  for your DS4 taking off but good thing you found him right away. I would have been panicking too! :faint:

The Wii Fit is so fun! I loved the hula hoop game. That was hilarious! My brother kept complaining that he could never hula hoop in real life and certainly not in the game. :rotfl2: We laughed so hard at him as we attempted to teach him and it was just hopeless. :rotfl: Also during the running game he ran around the whole house like a maniac and we laughed as his Mii fell face first on the ground.

Yes, we are going to DL tomorrow. :cool1: We have a PS for Blue Bayou. My bf really likes their Monte Cristo. It's suppsoed to be 83 degrees in Anaheim tomorrow. :faint: That's still hot but at least it's not in the 90's or 100's. We will bring our mister with us just in case. Hopefully it won't be too crowded. :goodvibes

83 is not bad at all! I'm surprised it's not in the 90s or 100s! :thumbsup2

We are in the mid-70s, which isn't bad either. You are going to have a great day!

I wish it was in the 70's here :rotfl: Thanks! I just want to have a fun weekend and hopefully it will help my bf cheer up a bit. :)

He just called me a few minutes ago. The pharmacist that wouldn't approve of him moving to billing asked him 3 times if he was mad at her. :sad2:

Wow, it's almost 12! I better get to bed. Have a fun weekend :goodvibes Goodnight :cloud9:

Good morning, hyenas!
WOOHOO! It's sunny now, after pouring down rain all night (and morning) long! :cool2:

We're off in a few minutes to take the boys to swim classes. Either during or after I'll head to Barnes & Noble to pick up a few books. One is The Kissing Hand for DS4 (B&N gave me a coupon for 40% off, isn't that funny since we were just talking about it???) There's also an I SPY School Days book that looks fun. My boys both love those books, so since that also is 40% off, why not?

And I want to get another Illustory kit for DS7. I mentioned it to my mom (that DS wants to do another book) and she really liked the idea. She was thinking she'd like to get one for my niece and nephew, too, so I said I'd look for them at B&N today (I can get them for less than the $20 they cost at Toys R Us.) :thumbsup2

I think we're doing pretty well with the birthday shopping. DH picked up some Legos the boy was begging for, so I guess that will be his big exciting gift. The rest he will enjoy, but nothing he will jump and scream over. :rotfl:
And I usually get him a few school clothes that are extra special, usually a few shirts or something he thinks are especially cool. I'm still on the hunt for something like that. ;)

Oh, how sad. DH just told me that Bernie Mac died. I knew he was in the hospital the last few days with pneumonia. DH said the article mentioned he died of 'complications from pneumonia.' :guilty:

So in the Athletic Underwear section of Wal Mart staring down an Adult XL size Cup. How worse off can I be???

I search for kids. Youth small appears and I check the chart on the back. No youth XS. size of waist is 18-22 inches. This has to fit its the smallest they have. i have to open it up to see. Luckily it was a package that was easily opened and resealed. Good Ole Wal-Mart. WOWZA that thing could fit my DH. Now I havent even looked at the cup I'm just looking at the size of the briefs. No way is Jake's tiny rump going to fit in this. Jake has a hershey kiss size butt. a tiny little m&m compared to this gigantor underwear. This will not work. I can see the cup getting out of place, he getting hit and he getting sliced off by the cup. decapitation down there by the protective cup.

YIKES. I'm looking dismal. I'm upset.

I'm thinking I need to feed my son red beans and rice. I mean if it worked for the girls in sir mix a lots songs it might work for Jake.

I'm on the phone with my mom as I exit Wally World with my bag of goodies minus the jock strap. She says I might have to take the underwear in. In my wildest dreams when I took up sewing I had not imagined this. She says I could go into business since my last name sounds good with STRAPS. STINKY STRAPS could be the name of the business if my last name was STINKY. :thumbsup2 Sure Mom. Thanks for laughing at me and my problem.

I call my brother in despair. He says dont worry come up and help with his girlfriends classroom and he'll help me. So I do it. I slave all day setting up a kindergarten classroom. I'm pretty good at it by the way. Then we hit Sports Authority. I was planning on going there first. I'm glad I went with him though he showed me the ins and outs of cleats as he still plays football at the University.

So he struts in and asks the first guy he sees where the "cups" are. I would have died to ask that. I would have called them jock straps. Again I am thinking old school. 16 candles old school. Guys can talk to guys about cups. Girls cannot talk to guys about cups that they do not know. It doesnt work. No cup talk allowed without a male present that you are related to. So my brother finds a Pee Wee size cup. Same as the football. Size 4-5. YEAH. We open it. It looks HUGE again but possibly not as huge. Waist size 16-20. Weight 35-45. Jake weighs 38-39 if he's eaten or not peed.
So we purchase them and check out the cleats. I need to bring him to try them on so we dont purchase those. I'll do that later.

So, I bring home the cup and tell Jeff he must explain it all to him. He tries it on. Loose but they fit. TA DA. A run in hot water and high dryer and we will be good. Room to grow on. Then Jeff puts the cup in. This is funny. This makes me pee my pants funny. Jeff taps it to show its to protect the family jewels. Jake hits it too. Then he realzes it doesnt hurt so he hits it again. Then Jeff tells him to run so he's used to the feel of running with the cup. Jake takes off running in them all over the house. Jake looks like he has a banana in his pants. Jake is well endowed at the moment and even though he doesnt know it yet something deep inside his genetic makeup gives him a manliness and a pridefullness when he runs. He is now running like a warrior, like a psychotic warrior with a large sac who keeps hitting himself in the privates to prove his manhood. He glances in the mirror, backs up and glances again. He doesnt know its good to be ummm large but somewhere deep down he is happy he is because he stands taller. I'm laughing so hard I cannot stand. Then the warrior retreats to the mancave in his tighty whiteys with cup. 5 minutes pass. We wait. The warrior does not emmerge so we go see what is happening. The warrior is pounding his cup with his play hammer, then his sailboat, then an action figure. next was superman. I guess if superman couldnt break the barrier he was safe. The barrier held. The cup was a shield against even the strongest of all superhero's. Superman could not defeat the cup. The cup is now the the superhero of the room. He sees us watching him. He wants to show us his experiments. His cup withstands every one. He is proud. He is ready for football. We throw the football at the jewels. It bounces back unharmed. The jewels protected. The cup has won.

The jockstrap, aka athletic briefs, aka cup or superhero is now a part of our life. He wanted to sleep in it. We had to say no. I'm not sure that would be good for our future grandchildren. The cup might do more harm than good if used too much.

so now my 5 year old owns a jock strap.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
It was quite a night in our house let me tell ya. :thumbsup2 Oh, I just did. Morgan's like what's the big deal. Jeff said "well, hon it will be like this when you get your first bra" Then he passed out almost because she's already asking for a bra. :faint:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Okay gals.. I am getting a tad dizzy, So I am going t hit the hay. Night!

Sorry you don't feel good Staley :goodvibes but geesh, don't blame me for it :lmao: Get to the doctor and feel better!!!

So...opening day for soccer was today. So DH was able to sneak out for a bit so we could meet Alecia's team, and in case she had a game (not everyone did today). So, as we were there DH gets this wild hair to see if there is a team with a spot open for Alec (he is doing great - so we figure the more chances he has to interact with other kids, hopefully the better) Good news is they had a team with an opening, so we signed him up. He is pretty excited to try a new sport. So, if I go missing for a while, I am at soccer. Alec has games on Monday, Alecia has games on Tuesday, Alec has practices on Wednesday, Alecia has practices on Thursday and there are a few games on Saturday :faint: We don't really even like soccer -but we are committed for the next 10 weeks :faint: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I went to the Dr. and its BRONCHITIS!! They were thinking pneumonia, but my X-ray came back clean.. I had an albuterol treatment, yum. That stuff is just gnarly! I got to wear this styling skirt during my x-ray, it covered my girly bits. ;) I got an albuterol inhaler... She said that prednisone might help, but didnt want to prescribe it just yet. If I dont start getting better soon, we will talk about it then. So at least it looks like I am not dying, yet. ;)

Howdy Hyenas! OMG Shawna, loved that story. Was laughing so hard I was crying..:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hope you start feeling better soon Staley. Glad it's bronchitis though. I gave myself pneumonia once, got a good whiff of chlorine that I was dissolving in hot water for the pool and a few days later got pneumonia. I did not realize that breathing chlorine could scar your lungs and give you pneumonia. Now I wear a mask when I handle pool chemicals.

I had to try hard not to pee my pants as I read Shawna's story :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Had to share it with hubby and we both agreed it was told very well. :goodvibes

When J was in middle school he did football .. buying the first cup for him was one of those-- oh crap why do I have boys? moments.

Hubby never had a cup, he was a cross country runner in high school-- cupless all the way.

We went together to asporting goods store.. except we couldn't bear to ask anyone for help :scared: . We just followed the other parents searching for a cup :rotfl:

oh and Staley

I TOLD YOU SO!

pffffffffffffft
:p

Glad you got it checked out and hopefully it will resolove quickly
