Ok....so who is patiently awaiting an update


So...turns out the story is really not that exciting after all. We showed up to school, and DH explained why he got off early to be there. DD was a bit confused, and he explained that we were both super scared and worried. So we walked to the car, and had a chat. Her story was told excellently, but parts just didn't make sense. She explained that she did go to the wrong classroom (there were two classes with the same number), the teacher did try to call, but couldn't and that she did nothing wrong. This really did not make too much sense, so being the CSI junkies that we are, we turned back to the school to investigate. She showed us the other room (that did not have the same number), and told us the name of the teacher. Well.... we hunted down the teacher and interrogated her, and sure enough her story was legit. Her and the boy mistakenly went into the wrong room, and when DD was paged, the other teacher realized it and went to call the office. Well....evidently...it seems as though some psycho parent panicked and freaked out that their child was missing and pretty much had the school on lockdown and all the phone lines were tied up so the teacher could not notify the office.....oops...

In the end, we told her that we were very happy that she told us the truth (we have had lying issues with her in the past), and that if she continued to do that she would build trust. We also just explained that we were very scared for her and wanted to make sure she was not in danger, and that is why we wanted to make sure she had been safe all day so we would not worry anymore.

I'm glad that you and your DH were able to find out what happend. What a crazy day but I'm glad everything is okay now!

You know... we have totally contemplated the Hyatt on a few trips. They have a really good Entertainment card rate on their kids suites.. I DO love a hotel with kids suites!!! You should let me know how you like it!

Are you kidding!!! I would have gone POSTAL!! That other teacher should have sent a note or something with your dd. Something to explain what happened, you know?

Yeah, well I am glad it turned out ok - she was not anywhere alone with the boy, and the world is a happy place.

Now I can focus on the boy - who is doing awesome in kindergarten!!! The teacher asked him a question, and based off his answer had no clue he was speech delayed. They asked if we brought the communication device, DH looked confused, and they said, well, he is doing pretty good so it might not be necessary!!! During the parent meeting they had to draw a picture, and only about 1/3 of the kids wrote their name where it said "name", but he was one of them The class is so amazing too...there are 2 full time teachers, 4 aides, student helpers, and check this out...19 kids, and only 10 are full day. So he has all these helpers with just 10 kids after 11:40 - pretty much 4 hours of free 1:1 help

Okie dokie I will let you know. I stayed there years ago and don't really remember much. I haven't stayed at a hotel in Anaheim in the longest time.

I am so excited - especially on the heels of the basketball medal - I think we are getting so close with him. His speech is getting clearer every day...it is just amazing.

so I went to get my books today...I have to go back tomorrow...I uhhhh...left my wallet on the kitchen table I took it out to see how much money I had...(which would not have been enough with me anyway...but my plastic was there....) anyway I say, so can you get them together and I will run back in the morning...sure no problem....by the way how much are they...530.00 WTH...... so I say...well you need to tell me how much my sons are...oh...595.00....are you flipping kidding me? a thousand dollars for books....I ask her if I should just cut off my arm there or at home....she laughed.....I am not sure but I think I was serious....
