My bf is having a bad day.The manager in the billing dept at his work offered him a position a few months ago. My bf accepted because it would mean less stress for him, better hours and a raise. Well they said that his supervisor plus one of the pharmacists had to approve. The pharmacist was on vacation for a month and just returned, found out my bf was offered to transfer and got pissed. She doesn't want him to transfer and she called him their "golden boy" because he does so much for their lazy rumps!
She gives him the "silent treatment" and then says that she needs to train a new girl to take his place before he can move.
My bf found out that they hired 2 new people to fill the billing dept. Now their are no openings and he was upset yet sort of not at the same time. He expected them to screw him over in the end and he was right. So for the time being, he is stuck where he is but he said he will no longer bother to fix their computers like he's been doing. They have IT people and they found out he has computer knowledge and started taking advantage of that. He said that he is going to request all his vacation days next month to go job hunting elsewhere. He would like to work at Kaiser or in a hospital, some place where he can get a raise. His current job will only dish out 20 cents a year, which is just wrong.
I brought him some dinner awhile ago and we ate together. He called me later and said one of his rear tires was flat. I went to Auto Zone (since I was still closeby) and bought him a fix-a-flat kit. I stayed there and watched him in case I needed to do anything else to help him. Well after about 15 minutes of pumping the slime from the kit into the tire, that the air pressure valve had a crack and was causing the leak. He put on a spare but it's unusually small for some reason.He plans to go to America's Tire tomorrow but he's just really upset that he's having a bad day. I feel really bad because bad days are the worst and it makes one feel like absolute crap.
He should ge out there and really start looking for a new place to work. There is no sense staying in a place that you hate.
Most spares are tiny... Weirdly tiny.
DH had a really bad day, too. I felt so bad for him.
And tonight was our final baseball game, and the kids did soooo well! It was a great game, and DH said he was sad it was over already. He said it has been a great stress reliever, so he's doubly sad that it's done.

I'm sorry to hear that. Is it from work? That's a bummer about the baseball season. 
I don't get that, either. Is there ANY car that uses that size???I don't know why spares are so tiny. It looks like a tiny donut or something that is meant for a wheelbarrow or motorcycle!

I think DH told me once that he thinks it's so people won't drive on it forever, since spares aren't good quality tires, either, they won't wear well or stand up to much in the way of weather or rough roads.
I didnt mean to scare everyone off with my 50 MPH story! I know it was quite frightening though.

Yeah, it's work. He can't really talk about it, but it sounds like there's so much work to do right now, his staff is very busy, but he's having to spend a lot of time dealing with BS political/management kinds of crap. He's not a BS kind of guy, so this kind of thing is hard for him to have patience with. And since he's in middle management, it comes from above AND below.
