I am a flurry of emotions this morning. I take my kiddos to school, about 20 minutes before the bell rings. I take Alecia to her classroom, she meets her teacher, and eagerly runs outside to play. I then take Alec to his classroom. I fill out a bunch of forms, and am instructed to sit down for a kindergarten parent meeting. Alec is looking pretty nervous here, so with a couple minutes before the bell rings, I decide to run him to the potty real quick. While he is inside the potty, I see Alecia's class lining up and getting ready to go into the classroom - but Alecia is not there. I ask the teacher where my daughter is, she says is she not here, I say NO and look concerned. A police officer who patrols the school is there, says this happens all the time, and says he will go to the office to call her name. At this point, I run Alec to his class, explain the situation to the teachers, and go back in frantic search of my missing daughter. I am freaking out pretty bad. I run outside, search the playground calling her name. I check the restrooms, and still no. I then go to the office, still pretty panicked to try to call DH. (He was at the bank, and didn't answer). They keep calling her name over the intercom, and eventually ask each teacher to do a head count and send any extras to the office. Then they realize Trenton is missing to. This actually relieved me a bit, knowing that she was not kidnapped, but probably in BIG TIME TROUBLE. Shortly after this point, both kids show up to class claiming to have gotten lost.
A. Trenton is a bad kid from her class last year
B. The school is small
C. She did not get lost. No way. That is not her. It would not happen.
MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DITCHED THE BEGINNING OF 2ND GRADE AND WAS DISAPPEARED WITH A BOY FOR NEARLY 45 MINUTES
Just wait until the kid gets home - she is in TROUBLE. Not only do I have no idea what she was doing with the boy, she disrupted her class, Alec's class, and the entire school for 30 minutes. Based upon what she has to say I really want to talk to the principal and have her brought in. I am so peeved.......
My other concern though is what if I hadn't taken Alec potty. When would they have noticed her missing??? I am building a basement and we are home schooling.
