I have gone more than one round over stupid stuff....I am like shouldn't you be worried over that kid with the knife sharpener and not the kid with the easter candy shirt?

:thumbsup2 exactly!

bye Alex!

I'm off to the grocery store myself

If it's any consolation, your DH's eyes are prettier than Owen's... ;)

Aww. I'll let him know. He thinks it must be the reason he tried to commit suicide too and the local weather man moved away only to move back. I'm such a powerful force.

Lucky!! They are completely sold out here and none of the stores know when they will get more in stock :( I really want one. Where are you guys finding them?

I got lucky. The Radio Shack up here had one. I bought it without a Wii, but our Kmart had 3 :thumbsup2 . We are a low income community - we were able to buy a wii for my SIL at Christmas time.

And just in case either of you actually wears a 10.5... :scared1:

My grandmother was near my height (5'6"), not an Amazon... they flopped when she walked, too. It was awful! :lmao:

I wear a 5 1/2 :rolleyes1

ok, Who Wants To Try To Beat My First Day Of School???

I am a flurry of emotions this morning. I take my kiddos to school, about 20 minutes before the bell rings. I take Alecia to her classroom, she meets her teacher, and eagerly runs outside to play. I then take Alec to his classroom. I fill out a bunch of forms, and am instructed to sit down for a kindergarten parent meeting. Alec is looking pretty nervous here, so with a couple minutes before the bell rings, I decide to run him to the potty real quick. While he is inside the potty, I see Alecia's class lining up and getting ready to go into the classroom - but Alecia is not there. I ask the teacher where my daughter is, she says is she not here, I say NO and look concerned. A police officer who patrols the school is there, says this happens all the time, and says he will go to the office to call her name. At this point, I run Alec to his class, explain the situation to the teachers, and go back in frantic search of my missing daughter. I am freaking out pretty bad. I run outside, search the playground calling her name. I check the restrooms, and still no. I then go to the office, still pretty panicked to try to call DH. (He was at the bank, and didn't answer). They keep calling her name over the intercom, and eventually ask each teacher to do a head count and send any extras to the office. Then they realize Trenton is missing to. This actually relieved me a bit, knowing that she was not kidnapped, but probably in BIG TIME TROUBLE. Shortly after this point, both kids show up to class claiming to have gotten lost.

A. Trenton is a bad kid from her class last year
B. The school is small
C. She did not get lost. No way. That is not her. It would not happen.

MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DITCHED THE BEGINNING OF 2ND GRADE AND WAS DISAPPEARED WITH A BOY FOR NEARLY 45 MINUTES :faint: :headache:

Just wait until the kid gets home - she is in TROUBLE. Not only do I have no idea what she was doing with the boy, she disrupted her class, Alec's class, and the entire school for 30 minutes. Based upon what she has to say I really want to talk to the principal and have her brought in. I am so peeved.......

My other concern though is what if I hadn't taken Alec potty. When would they have noticed her missing??? I am building a basement and we are home schooling.

You have to keep us informed as to what happens to her. Tell her it was nice knowing her and we will be sad never to see her again. I will mail a picture of the blue sky to her as I'm sure she will never be allowed to see it again. to you and your dh.

The  was intended because now you have to deal with her inside for the rest of your life. NO break at all.

Ah I'm still thinking slacks and a dress shirt no tie or jacket! polos and dockers are not out of the question for a date let alone a class I guess. :thumbsup2

See what being a stay at home mom of 8 years does to me. :lmao: And dh wears jeans and a polo to work everyday so I have no clue.
We are a jeans and tee shirt family. Every day. Heck, most of dhs work shirts are full of holes. If they dont have a ton before he goes to work, they will when he comes home.
Those are what all of Morgan and her friends wear.:lmao:
:lmao: Mikalah too.
DH wears shorts pretty much year round, but he does get a lot of flack for it. He's just very hot all the time (temperature-wise, I mean... OK, both ways! ;) ) and feels more comfortable in shorts and t-shirts. He'd wear sandals year round too, if it weren't for the snow... :rotfl:

People around here don't wear white year round, though I doubt many stick to the Labor Day date strictly. Basically when the weather turns dark and gloomy, white shoes stick out like a sore thumb, plus they'd always be covered in muddy water stains if you wore them.
I ONLY wear white tennis shoes. Or crocs. I think any other color is kinda goofy looking.
Or maybe she's just not a peeple person. :confused3

 OMG Dizzy.

I just told dh. He said look on the bright side, at least she doesn't know what to do with a boy for 45 minutes alone

Pounding a quesadilla at the moment. Then I have to get back to being a good housewife with no kids at home and keep cleaning! :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: Shoot... My kids are home, and Im still not cleaning. :lmao: Just biding my time until swim lessons.... You know, at 4 this after noon. :lmao:

OMG! :scared1:

OMG! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

What the heck were they thinking??? What happened when they were found? Were they brought to the office? Just sent to class? Did you not get a chance to speak to her at all?

Is she friends with this bad boy? Was she upset? Was she very casual about the whole thing? What did she say?

I just cannot even imagine... Well, I can imagine losing a child in a public place, having lost DS4 a couple times now, once at age 1.5yo and the time in DL when he was 3yo. :headache:

I just can't imagine what she was thinking! I so want to know!!! :lmao:

Awww, honey, I'm so sorry. That is so scary.
I'm so glad she was safe, though.

I ONLY wear white tennis shoes. Or crocs. I think any other color is kinda goofy looking.
I'm not a fan of non-white tennies either. DS7 chose these navy shoes with orange trim last year. :scared:

DH has some black hi tops, which I think look really dorky. When he needed good quality shoes because of his knee/ankle/orthotics issues, I found the brand/style recommended by the podiatrist, but it only came in I think a gray, a black and a light blue. He wanted two pair, and I hated the black so I ordered one each of the other two. Turns out the light blue is more of a bright blue!

Ah well, he'll be easy to spot when he's out on his evening walks. :rotfl:
