I have this plastic 12x12 box with a hinged lid that I use to put my in-progress stuff so it's all together. I lay the pages down in the box with each page's photos and paper and embellishments on top of each page, then take them out one at a time to work on them. (This process uses more pages to lay out than you actually use, since you will stick things to both sides of the page.) :thumbsup2

I have a plastic storage box too. It's a large square one for scrapbook things. I try to keep it organized but I have too much stuff in it. :rotfl: It's mostly paper but I feel that one can never have too much scrapbook paper. I've used some scraps of them to make bookmarks. :)

I like shopping for different types of paper and stickers. Jolee's are really cute but a little expensive. :scared: It's cool when they are on sale at Michael's though :)
I love those, too. I bought a bunch on sale, especially the Disney ones. They're really cute on the Disney pages.

I do Creative Memories albums and pages, and bought the 12x12 Disney ones for myself, and used 7x7 CM Disney albums for the boys' autograph books. They turned out so cute! THough the little albums are a lot harder for me to work on since I'm used to having more space to work with! I think CM has now come out with slightly bigger Disney albums (I don't remember if it's 8x8 or 8.5x11), so think I'll try that size next time. But I always use 12x12 for myself.

Okay, I need to get to bed. I have a feeling it's going to be hectic at work tomorrow. :faint: Goodnight Alex

OMG, I'm watching the Olympics. Men's gymnastics is on at the moment, and this guy (netherlands) is on the high bar and FELL!

He's back up now to finish his routine, but he was doing really well up to the point he fell. GEESH, that was scary!

I used one of those creative memories to make a wedding album for my guy cousin and his wife. It was a lot of fun to make and they loved it. It was my wedding gift to them. :goodvibes

:scared1: :scared1: Oh dear!! That's awful! Something you would expect to see on a funny video but not during the Olympics. Eek!

The creative memories as an autograph book is a cool idea. It makes it unique and saves money on the albums they sell in the park :thumbsup2

That's a sweet idea. :lovestruc

A friend of mine wants me to make an album for her, but I told her, "It takes me FOREVER to complete one of my own, how on earth do you think I could do one for anybody else?" :lmao:

Besides, everyone has their own style, you know? I look at my friends' albums and they are so different than mine. I tend to use darker, solid background colors and fairly simple embellishments (stickers, Jolee's embellishments, maybe a border strip and either a journal box or journaling under the photos.) One friend tends to use softer colors and less embellishments. Another uses brighter colors and more cutesy, complex paper piecing embellishments.

Ooooo NOT! CM albums cost way more than the albums in the park. :rotfl:

BUT the CM albums will last a long time, whereas the park ones may not be photo-safe (lignen-free, acid-free, etc.) I wanted to put the autographs and photos together in the boys' albums, so I used the CM stuff. Also why I used the smaller size, since I didn't think DS(2yo at the time) would be able to hold a 12x12 or even 8.5x11 album in his lap to look through it. The small ones are perfect for him to "read" by himself. :)

Hi ladies! It's been ages since I've popped on for a hello.

Not much new, I've been playing tennis and doing yoga but I haven't lost much weight. Dh says I have, and some of my old clothes are fitting again but I still have fat legs and bum and my stomach still makes a muffin. How long does it take before I have a supermodel body? Geesh! I've been doing yoga every day for about 4 weeks and I've done tennis twice a week since the beginning of august, I guess that's not enough!

I go to disneyland in 20 days and counting I'm super excited! I'm only there for 3 days though but my sister is coming and she hasn't been since she was 16 so it's going to be a blast.

I'm going to read back now and see what all I've missed. Have a super day super ladies!

another short snippet of a DIS day.. yet again .. off to bed :cloud9:

:scared1: :woohoo:  CONGRATULATIONS!!!
OMG, Staley, I didn't even know you were pregnant but you're expecting twins?? How freakin awesome is that??

My close friend who lives around the corner is pregnant too, she just found out and she's been sick every day ever since. I don't know how you ladies handle it.

Good Morning Ladies! Another not so exciting day at work. Now that payroll and bills are finished, it's time to turn my attention back to finishing up the July financial statements.

My sister is still in the midst of Tropical Storm Fay. The storm has sort of stalled right above her house! Still no electricity in their neighborhood, but luckily one of her friends a few blocks away has power, so over there to charge all the battery operated things up this morning! There area has gotten lots of rain like 10 inches or more and it's still fairly windy. She has a generator to keep the freezer and fridge running and has a bbq with side burner on her screen room to cook on. However, she said there is about an inch of water on the screen room floor that one must stand in to cook.

Megan, I forgot to ask you...do they know if the babies are sharing the same sac, which could make them identical? Or do they appear to be fraternal?? Inquiring minds want to know.:confused3 :)

Christina, I hear you on the losing weight thing! I have lost 7 pounds and just seem to be sort of stalled at 133 right now. I know I need to step it up a bit on the exercise end. I've concentrated more on the diet end of things. Just haven't been real motivated about exercising lately.

Good morning, hyenas!
It was raining like crazy a bit ago, but it has stopped and the sun is out! Weird! :rotfl:

Apparently another storm is coming, so I gather the sun won't last today. Hopefully this next one is it for awhile. Allegedly sun and 80F temps are just around the corner... :cool2:

hi guys, just checking in...hope all is going well ... this was such a busy morning.

DD had her first day today. I will be driving her this week and part of next until we do the ride share thing.(I may rethink it though..I just found out that 2 of the parents on it are ALWAYS making the girls late and they have been given detention for it. I told DH about this and we are starting to lean on just taking her ourselves..i just don't want to ruffle any feathers) Anyway it went like a dream..I thought it would take longer.(it was 45 min.s to take her there and get back so I am thinking if we leave at that exact time every day we will miss the traffic.

DH and I have really narrowed out the vacation spots for next year. Every year a big one has been at WDW and not that I don't love it but I want to visit a few other places. So it looks like we will do a long weekend or two for now..we are going to cancel this octobers long weekend to WDW...we are going to go on a mini trip with my neighbors..

MOA will more than likely be a spring break deal since I just found out that DD and I do not have the same spring breaks and only one day of our fall breaks match up.

In june it is Hawaii for family...(we are getting an amazing deal at the Outrigger with the airline discount so we can't go wrong)

And for our Anniversary it looks like Italy...(I am very excited over this one...)

So along with school I have more work but trust me I don't mind this kind of work.

Oh and because we have 2 buddy passes getting ready to expire this weekend my neighbor and going to fly off for lunch...I don't know where, we are just going to check and see who has what open on what flight...I love doing that...)

So , let the planning begin...

Oh that must be so scary, and yuck about standing in water to cook! Glad she's doing okay though.

Oh I LOVE Italy! You will have the best time ever! I want to go to Hawaii so bad, I know it's crowded and over commercialized yadda yadda yadda, it's clean beaches with waves so I wanna go!

I hope for your sake you guys can make it work to get to Italy though, it's a nice place (well, where we went) and the Italians are very friendly we found. And don't forget about the amazing food.

Okay I just have to tell you all what I'm making for dinner because it smells amazing. I'm making honey mustard chicken, with potatoes baking in the oven with carrots, onions and spices. I'm baking some broccoli and califlower with chili powder, olive oil, garlic, pepper, a curry powder (just cuz it's good for you) and then I'm going to sprinkle some parmeasan cheese over my broccoli and VIOLA! It smells so good. If only I had chocolate cake.

I'm so swamped with Morgan's birthday party stuff. I need to head to the mall but I wanted to say hi!

ALEX, someone is asking on my pre-TR to hear the mayday story! I'll let you post it because its hysterical and I dont want to leave out any of the funny details. So go over there and post away. They would really think its funny. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Last night I stayed up til midnight cleaning my house. Dh was afraid I was pregnant. And with all of the throwing up I have been doing he was really concerned. I took a test this morning to ease his mind and I'm not. I am just going through a cleaning phase! He should be thankful!!!! :lmao:

GREAT Ultrasound Pics Meg! I'm about to tear up. They are so beautiful.
