I ordered a shirt like this off etsy.com and it arrived today.

I think it's so cute! I'm going to wear it to Disneyland this weekend and I decided to wear it for my 5K Halloween race on the 24th as well. I'm goin to try and make a tutu like this for the race too.

CUTE!! The tutus are SUPER easy!! Ill bet you bust it out in no time at all!

Here's the shadow box I made with my race stuff. I think it turned out a lot nicer than the ones they were selling and I only paid $15 for the box (40% off at JoAnn) vs. $150 at DL. I took the pic with my phone so it's blurry.

My husband thinks I have pneumonia.. I think I just have some sort of chest cold. I dont know, But he keeps staring at me like I am about to drop dead..

Thanks so much guys for the well wishes. I am REALLY skeptical about the whole situation because we agreed on this last December and then things went right back to the old way BUT we talked for a LOOOONG time yesterday and I reminded him of that and I think after initially threatening me and blowing things WAY out of proportion he then realized with his million unanswered phone calls that it would NOT be good for either of us to seperate. Our relationship is NOT good but financially and for the girls sake it would not be good either so we HAVE to come to an agreement at least for now because we simply DON'T have any other options. My parents can't afford to help me and there just AREN'T a lot of options. Plus the ONE thing we DO agree on is splitting up the girls is NOT desirable. So we shall see. We will still do things as a family obviously but as far as the two of us being a couple (at least on MY part) it aint happening. There has just been TOO much that has happened. I told him if we could even just get to a point where we could be FRIENDS again that would be a good thing. So we'll see.

Anyway B I am SO sorry about all the SS mess. What a nightmare! I hope you can get it all straightened out! And prayers to your little nephew!

Dizzy have a blast on your trip. I am so mixed about my DW trip with everything going on. I was seriously thinking about telling my mom just to take the girls and I was going to blow it off because with everything going on my heart is no longer in it. I DID cancel our december trip to DL though. Even though we have sort of worked things out I just don't know that we have worked them out to that extent to do a family trip and financially I don't know how that is all going to work as far as who is paying for what etc. Before everything was combined but it isn't anymore and it is a long story but I don't know how all that is going to work in the future. I don't think he even realizes I cancelled the trip and he may throw a fit and want to try and still make it happen but at least for now I have no desire to go. Again it is a wait till the time comes and see how things are and go from there.

Megan I hope you feel better. Have you seen a doc? Take care of yourself!!

Allison HI!!

The girls had their performance at school last night and it was SO cute! Really fun and I enjoyed it. Since they have been going to school there they have done it 3 times. They didn't do it their first year but did it their 2nd and 3rd years and then not last year again but esp if this ends up being Katy's last year I am glad she got to do it one last time!

Now tonight is Shelby's piano recital so we are all going to go have dinner and then go. She is going to get all dressed up and to see her in her pretty gown on a grand piano I can't wait! Even though her song will take all of 2 seconds to play LOL. But it is still going to be exciting to see and I will be anxious to see some of the other students!

Then tomorrow we have a soccer game and after we are taking the girls to apple hill. I am possibly going to take them sometime this weekend to look for costumes and then we are thinking about trying our friends church out on Sunday. It is a LONG story but our church kind of went downhill. They lost their building and when they moved it was closed down for several months and then when it reopened in the new facility it has just NOT been the same and it lost a lot of the members and they stopped doing a lot of the activities that we used to do like the children's ministry and such so we reluctantly are looking for a new church home.

Anyway that's all my news.

Thanks so much guys for being here to talk with!! It helps immensely!! I just spent 3 hours at my parents trying to figure out what to do and in the meantime shane called about a BILLION times because he knew something was "up". I don't know if he is worried about being taken to the cleaners or what but he DOES know that neither of us can really afford to be on our own so he suggested we try again what we were going to do in December but actually DO it this time. I am not thrilled about the idea but honestly don't feel like I have a whole lot of options at this point. He is going to move into Katy's room and we are going to be "roommates". We will still split the bills up and such but otherwise do our own things and come and go as we please but this way the girls don't have to be split up.

I am skeptical about it working but need to give it a try since I don't have a lot of options.

Here's hoping we can make it work for their sake!!

We are going to need to apply for cash assistance in November, SS took ALL of our benefits - back pay and everything starting in November thru .. get this... 2013!
I sat and cried my eyes out at the SS office on Monday, it's been a rough week .

We have to fill out a form, ask SS to accept a lower payment plan, prove we need every last penny of his benefit to make bills and possible have the amount owed be reduced.. the last part will require a lawyer because the amount owed requires a judge to decide.

Unknown to me, E got benefits for months when he shouldn't have. I was so pissed at him.

The year in CA was not his fault, a worker looked at his file and said he hadn't used his trial months. But since there is no proof... it's not in his file...he is still considered "at fault" even thought they are the ones who screwed up.

Then he got benefits for months after he started working here in MN, I thought the benefits had stopped.. that accounts for the $13,000 we were first told for overpayment.

SS added to the final total based on the year in CA, but didn't inform us until NOW.

We are broke, broke, broke. Bills are paid this month But not sure about next month.

And our county case worker hasn't returned calls, now her mail box is full which makes me think she no longer works there. This happened to us once before, it takes awhile for another worker to go thru the backlog to catch up and reassign to a new worker. We technically qualified for food stamps in September, too much income for October and obviously will qualify in November.

Not that we need anything right now, I have my stockpile but dang it, if I qualify I want it! More money in my pocket for other stuff like laundry money, bus fare, for Justin on his upcoming band trips.. he goes to Iowa this weekend, the following week is the big competition in St Louis. The band will feed him for a few meals, a few he needs to pay himself.

I tell ya, not grocery shopping this week has me grumpy because I KNOW there are some great deals this week.
If I had my food stamp benefits I could MAKE money this week. Target has a deal on Mott's apple juice and sauce $1.75 each, buy 5 get $5 gift card. I could use the gift cards to buy a SD camera card for Noah, he is taking a digital photography class.. we have cards but they all have something on them. No need for him to scan thru our 100's of boring pics for his 30 needed for assignment.

So my sis called.. my dn has been sickly, snotty nose, tonsillitis, icky cough.
His breath smelled funky so she brought him in yesterday thinking he had strep with the tonsils. Nope, the little guy has mono.

It's uncommon for young children (he's 4) to get mono symptoms, but due to being a very early and tiny premie he has a wacky immune system and tends to have inflammatory responses to simple things like a mosquito bite will cause a HUGE red bump or the tag on his shirt collar will break him out in a rash.

The kicker, I was exposed all day to his snot producing, hacking cough self on Tuesday. So sis asks.. how do you feel? Well gee, you know that would be hard to tell since Eloy and I both have issues with fatigue and aches/pains on a regular basis.

The incubation period is 4-7 weeks, so we shall see what happens. In a "normal" adult it wouldn't be an issue.. to my immune compromised dh it might be an issue.

Darn snot nosed kids! Keep your germs to yourself!

Kelly.. I can so understand just not having it in you for the trip to WDW.. BUT.. Even if your heart isnt in it now, you might regret not going and just having some good ole fum time with the kiddos. I would totally still go, and try to have a good time. YOu might be pleasantly surprised! Anyways.. Thats my thought on it.

Speaking of trips.. We canceled OURS in December as well.. Our plan was to drive down and stay with my sister.. WELL. I just dont feel comfortable doing that right now. So we sat down, had a family meeting about it and everyone decided they would rather go at Spring Break. So we are going to stay at the Hojos.. and go to DL for 3 or 4 days, hit LegoLand.. the beach.. and Hollywood.. Julie is much more excited about going when it is warmer. I am more excited about driving during the spring, then driving when it is all snowy. I cant wait. We are going to have to stay in two rooms all the way along, but thats no big deal. We are staying at the Redwoods for a day. I dont know what else..

WooHoo!!! Just tied the ribbon to the suitcase handle and I am done!!! I close tonight - but that was intentional. If I am home - no telling what we would do tonight....but if I have to work then DH and the kids will clean the entire house . So I get paid - and a clean house!!!


Can't wait to see what they do to Space Mountain for Halloween - we added an extra day to the trip - but we probably won't make it back until next October. We will see - I want to save some money (pay down bills). Since we won't have AP's next year I am half tempted to do WDW or a cruise (with the DVC points) as our trip next year - I guess we will see how DS does on a flight

We are bringing along SIL, her husband and 14 yo son - so should be interesting.

Also found out the DH's (well, mine too) boss is going to be there on Sunday - and he wants to hang out. He thinks the perfect plan is for us to all hang out so we can watch his son while they ride the bigger rides

My boss decides he doesn't dress nice enough and gives him a $6,000 clothing allowance and makes him an appointment at Marios (they make Nordstrom look like the thrift center!). He did tell him nicely though, so as not to offend him. Actually my co-worker was pretty excited, so I am happy for him. Just bummed for me!

What the Hay?! So I dress nice by digging thru clearance bins and he dresses like a slob and gets to go buy Armani suits?

They are going shopping on Monday, so I told him that he should casually mention to my boss that "Alison will look out of place in the office with all of our nice designer clothing...oh and BTW she is a size 8".

I'm not really complaining, but I am. I mean, I did get to drive the new Mercedes for two years. But still...I'm sure I could make a pretty mean dent in his credit card with a few new designer duds of my own.

I know, I should be happy that I have clothes on my back and a roof over my head...I really don't mean to complain. But let me tell you, this coming winter I think I will just dress like a slob and see what happens!

I was at the fabric store tonight.. and there was a teen girl buying tulle at the cut counter net to me.. She got four yards and said she was making a tutu. I laughed and laughed.. Really?? 4 yards?? I told her I made one for my daughter and used over 20! I think she will be heading back to the store soon.. I cant imagine that 4 yards will even cover her booty!

They have a ton of clearance right now, if I had a couple hundred to spend.. yeah right.. I could have me a serious wardrobe for the spring/ summer

Okay, so MIL, BIL and his gf are to come for the weekend.
E goes and calls his sis to ask if she wants to come too. We all have a good laugh about black sheep in the family and comment on how much of a horses patoot BIL is being by not talking to her.

SIL then talks to her mom, MIL says "it's not a good time for you to visit"
since BIL is still pissed at her.

uhh what??

E has no clue what is going on.. gets pissed off that MIL decides who visits and who doesn't? Excuse me, this is MY home- I decide! He calls and leaves a polite but terse message on MIL's cell that he wants to know what is going on.

She calls back the next day, pissed off ( we knew she would). Now she is not coming because she knows E will tell his sis anything she says.
"I love you to pieces .. but..."

GEESH!

Apparently, a few months ago, SIL made a not polite comment about a bagger at BIL's work (grocery) . He heard about it and got offended.

Okay, I get that. But keep in mind, we are talking about SIL who has some fairly severe depression issues. You have to cut her some slack because yes.. Mental illness makes your world a little off-skew. It was months ago, she already apologized.. freaking grow up and get over yourself!
Besides she doesn't need the stress right now.

Anyway, BIL hasn't called. We have no clue if he is still coming to visit or not. I know he is good at talking to MIL , maybe he can convince her to zip it and just visit us.

E is to the point that he doesn't want ANY of them to come visit. Counting the blessing of not having a car.. thus he doesn't have a way to visit any of them either.
