Chatterbox Thread-Cmon in and Jabber! Everyone is Welcome!

Thanks everyone. I haven't heard anything more yet, I'm going with the no news is a good thing theory.

 Yep, we are some prudish people in the states. We can flaunt only so much skin. Heck I got the stares from people when I nursed my boys. Oh C'mon! The kid has to eat.. geesh!

Pix, 40DD? really? That is big lady size.. I should know since I uhhh have to add another D to that. :rolleyes1 Though I have heard that women tend to wear too small of a size. As for oomph, I need no more of that thank you.
Victoria Secret doesn't carry my size on a regular basis. Besides, full figure women should wear full figure bras.. those cutesy demi bras don't work well to "contain", don't want to scare anyone! :rotfl:

I stacked a bunch of coupons and saved over $100 at Target today. :yay:

My local regular Target now carries a limited amount of fresh produce, dairy, meat. This format was tested at the downtown location, it did so well they are expanding it throughout most of the Target stores. As part of the re-format Target sent out some great coupons in the mail.. free eggs, $1 off produce, $2 off steak . AND there are loads of really good printables on their web site. Lots of free, almost free after stacking with regular coupons on groceries. :lovestruc

Plus there is a printable $10 off bath furniture coupon.
I bought a metal towel rack with two shelves for $4.95 after coupon, finally a place to store my extra TP, tissue, and q tips! :)

I haven't gone to Target for a few months, it was fun!

They are building a Super Target near my house, which opens this October. I can't wait!! :yay: I love Target and we do have 2 that are not far from me but I have never been to a Super Target so I'm hoping it's cool. :) Plus it would be even more convenient because it would be so close to me. I prefer Target over Walmart most of the time. I find cuter stuff in Target, especially in their $1 section. :)

Pix... She does NOT have a good relationship with her dad. Thats part of the reason her mom is so glad she is with us right now. Frelan can be a dad figure, and brother to her. Her other bro wont even talk to her right now.. Family drama. He didnt even know she was coming to the states until one of their other family members told him.

On another note.. She got her permit today!! HOLY MOLY!! We have a new driver in the family!

:woohoo:
You're going to love their deli and bakery items.. mmmm. Produce is very fresh and "nice" looking but they tend to cost a little more unless they have a sale or overstock.

Keep an eye on the meat dept for red and white peelie sticker coupons for the short dated meat..makes for some excellent deals!

You might be a little disappointed in selection of non food Target items compared to a regular Target. Clothing and accessories will have a smaller selection, dollar spot is a tad smaller at some Super Target locations. Limited in seasonal and garden depts, depends on the demographics in your area and how far away is another Target.

The first weeks of grand opening they will have tons of sample carts showcasing the Archer Farms and Market Pantry brands. Possible coupons handed out. Free lunch! :thumbsup2

Likely to be a good home mailer of coupons too... sign up for any of the mailing/ email lists now. No one knows for sure what determines mailer worthy households.. it's totally random like the Disney pin codes.

:yay:

After she is licensed, that will be handy to send her to the store and no need to dress kids in the winter. And no need to be the "taxi" as she starts to go out with friends or be in activities. :)

Has she looked into sports or other activities yet? The boys' high school already started fall sport sign ups, they don't start school until Sept 7th. They have pictures and schedules day on the 26th. I think Noah is a little anxious about getting lost as it is a BIG school with an odd layout, but he will be fine. His friends will be lost with him.

No sports or anything yet. She wants to see what school here is like before starting anything else up. We should have the school calling anytime to set up an appointment with the counselor so we can get her schedule, and find out how her credits transfer over. This is going to be such a huge change for her since she has gone to a tiny German school her whole life! We had a long talk last night about what we expect from her, what her mom expects from her.. what she wants from us.. All that kinda stuff. Some things were a huge change for her. Like the drinking laws.. We told her that if she was at a party where the kids were drinking and the cops came.. She could go to jail. She was SHOCKED! Drinking age in Germany is 16!! Her mom said beer and wine or whatever was fine as long as she is at home with us, but other than that.. NO!!

She is out on her first driving lesson right now. SCARY!! :lmao: I pulled into DH's work parking lot today, and jumped out and let her park the van.. We went... ZOOM... STOP! ZOOOOOOOM.. STOP!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: All the way across the parking lot!:rotfl2: There was one guy walking across the parking lot staring at us like this....:scared1::scared1:;):lmao::rotfl2: You could tell when he figured out what was going on because he just started rolling!!:rotfl2: It was great!

Eloy took Justin to empty parking lots for those first lessons, around and around the perimeter and then practice pulling into a spot. Slow, faster, turn, brake and using turn signals. Lots of good skills to practice without fear of crashing!

See this demonstrates how NOT wonderfully close is my family....
Found out my cousin died and they had the memorial today in TX by reading my cousin's ex-wife Facebook page. :rolleyes1

I guess they did the memorial right away since the family was there already.. but that means his son did not get to attend as he is in Germany.

The ex wife is a sweet lady, she posted how thankful she was to know K and grateful for the son they share from that relationship. I can't imagine my Aunt and Uncle's sorrow with losing a child.
Some good came from the loss, the family donated his organs (including his heart), 7 people are changed today from this gift.

My sis calls this morning " I have some bad news"
I replied.. I already know he died.
"oh, okay"
Mom had called her last night with the news, but she made it sound as if he had JUST died when he actually died on Monday night.
Found out from my sis that he also has a 2 yr old son and possible wife (we aren't sure if they ever married), which explains the quick memorial in TX. Later there will be another memorial in my hometown for family.

I've decided Facebook is a wonderful tool for keeping in touch with family.. if your family has a Facebook account and posts more than updates on their Farmville and Cafe World games.

Eloy is off for his one hour of work today :thumbsup2
He was going to check over his science cart and make sure his closet space is cleared out of non science junk. Staff have already joked "so you will come out of the closet this year? Congratulations!"
My catty reply.. well gee dear that explains everything. :rotfl:

I'm enjoying my Kid Cuisine meal for lunch, 25¢ after coupons.
Comprised of a squishy corn dog, 10 tiny fries, chocolate pudding *with SPRINKLES* and a cup of corn that has spread out of it's designated cup .. mmm corn in my chocolate pudding :woohoo: Delicious!

How is your day?

So girls I got some big news!!!!!

Soo umm It looks like I have a new man! He is quite a catch! VERY hot, an makes me feel soo alive! And I am so upside down for him, and he the same. And he is a diser also-skiingfast ,that is who he is, we have decided to come out with the big news after the last 10 days of happyness bliss!

A new relationship is exciting, all the butterfly feelings and happy hormones..
I wish everyone could have a great relationship with their special someone. Thankfully I feel that way with Eloy still, married 18 years this November :love2:

Eloy put together dinner today, okay I added a bit but it was his idea.
He had a hankering for beans and rice.. really! Dumped rice, water, chicken bouillon, can of chili beans (he wanted pintos but all I had was dry pintos and not enough time to cook them) and some onion in the rice cooker. Hit "white rice" and ignored it. That's my style of cooking :thumbsup2 It was a little dry (rice was cooked okay).. possibly because Eloy walked from sink to table with the measuring cup full of water, sprinkling it along the way.. :sad2:
What? It's just a little water.
Here.. there.... over there.. oh wait.. there too...and uhhh hmm guess there was more
. grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

And with his jalepeno cheese, it was darn good. Dry but good.
Now that was a cheap dinner! And I didn't have to do too much to cook it. ;)

I think when it's time for the boys to move out, we're going to give them a cheap rice cooker, spoon and a bowl. What more do they really need? :teeth:

Gah... Im feeling all sorts of blechy today. Yesterday was our anniversary, and we did nothing! No big. Today he spent all day gone with Alex.. He went to a buds house and fixed the brakes, we were squeaking... then we went to grinding.. Time to fix em! Now I just need some daddy time, and he is in with his sis fixing her computer.

Awww Staley, I'm sorry you didn't get to spend time with your DH. That is not good about the brake problems :( I hope you will be able to have some make-up time to celebrate.:hug:

Isn't it odd how you can be with each other.. but not at the same time?
I mean, you don't want to sound like the jealous shrew but sometimes ya just want him to ignore everyone else and spend time being in the moment with you. But darn life gets in the way :headache: hopefully things will settle down soon. :flower3:

When does school start? Maybe he can have a late work day and your mom can watch the little ones.. for some alone time. ;)

Or maybe a nice splurge on some Starbucks in the early morning before the chaos begins.

Good Morning,

Last week I had dinner with my close friend. We grabbed Vietnamese noodles at a place I like. I have always liked Vietnamese noodles. It's so tasty and cheap and filling :) Friday night I went over to a friend's house and we hung out and just watched TV and ordered Thai food. My friend purchased a movie from On Demand called Babies. It was really cute and it follows 4 babies from the time they are born to their first steps. There were several parts that just cracked me up so much that my eyes got watery. :rotfl: :lmao: It was really cute :) The babies were from Namibia, Tokyo, San Francisco and Mongolia. Here is the link: http://www.focusfeatures.com/babies

My friend's dog Monkey just had a cancerous tumor removed from her hip. She just had surgery last week. Her dog was really friendly and kept snuggling up against me and looking up at me. Every time I stopped petting her, she would tap me on the hand with her paw or she would stick her head under my hand to get me to pet her. :rotfl: Here are pics of Monkey:

Saturday afternoon I went to DL for a few hours. I was surprised that I got a good parking spot in the parking structure (row 9). I thought it would be crowded but it wasn't too bad. I was starving and decided to try the chicken nachos at Whitewater Snacks:

It was okay, pretty tasty if you crave nachos :) I did some pin trading and got 2 cool pins:

The Mickey lunch box pin swings back and forth and is from Toyko DL and the Chip pin is part of a CM set that I've been looking for. I love Chip N' Dale, so I like to collect CM pin sets of them.

Yesterday I went shopping and found a cool cotton vest from TJ Max. I also ran errands at Trader Joe's and Target. On the way home I picked up a late lunch/dinner from one of my favorite kabob places:

40504_457113551638_746751638_6157148_5858432_n.jpg

This is Persian style kabob and it's chicken koobideh. I also got cucumber yogurt (not Tatziki but is called must o' khiar). It was really tasty and I haven't had kabob in a long time.

I was also shopping on a website last week and I found 2 custom handmade Domos. I haggled with the person selling it and am getting 2 of them for a good deal. :yay: I can't wait to get them!

I took some pics of Billy Hill & the Hillbillies. I caught part of their show. I will post those pics soon for you guys to see. :)

I also found out that the Tigger Tails and the Cheshire Cat Tails are no longer flavored :( I loved the Tigger Tails because it tasted like an orange creamsicle and the Cheshire Cat one was supposed to taste like strawberry. The CM in Marcelin's Confectionery told me that they stopped adding the flavoring for those due to trans fat complaints. :sad2: :sad2: I didn't buy it often but I loved the Tigger Tail because of the orange flavoring :(

You would think they would find an alternative flavoring? I bet it's the glaze that has the transfat, it's a new Disney policy to eliminate transfats from the menu items. I understand healthier food options and I applaud Disney for making the change, but we all know candy is a treat, most doctors would agree small amounts of transfats via an occasional piece of candy is fine.
What's the point of a Tigger Tail if it's just plain with some orange coloring, ewww???
