how long was he in school

First his associate degree at community college (transfer curriculum) -- two years and two summers

Then we moved to a college town for him to finish his bachelor's, well the transplant failed and he had a rough semester .. so what was only to take two years ended up being another three and half. :headache:

:rotfl: would it be wrong of me to say I am already looking forward to christmas and springbreak......
:lmao:

Nope, I peeked at the school calendar and planned in my head various scenerios of fun activities/trip for each break time :lmao:

well, I am gonna go catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzz's ....big, long day tomorrow...was warned it would be 3 hours....

anymore its the norm to take 5 or 6 years....

Not right now, only If he wants to go for Masters -- ca -ching in salary increases... but oh my lots of work!

It just seemed to be a long road at the time. Throwing in the failed transplant , moving back and forth to the college area and "home", and our two boys... Like I said, it was hard to see the end of that long tunnel  Kinda stunned that he made it-- with honors even-- he didn't even know until moments before the grad ceremony and had to quickly buy the honor stole while he was backstage waiting to line up for the walk :goodvibes

I read the program and gave a lil scream -- his family was totally clueless why that was significant

Bunch of hicks.

i would have been doing cartwheels....I do believe that DH is going to go back and finish school....but the pilot thing is really pulling at him...thing is first years are so low in paying it would drain our savings...so I don't know...but it is leaning that way

wow! Hard choice, but it would be great for him to follow his dream. But then again-- eeeek on the lower pay with the way things are right now.

I can't decide what I want to be when I grow up.

My kids are laughing like a couple of... well, hyenas! :rotfl:
They're watching Scooby Doo's Creepiest Capers. I don't think it's that funny, but they are practically rolling on the floor! THEY are way funnier than the show! :lmao:

Hi, Staley! What's new?

Not much. Went to McDonald's today so the beasties could play. Then when we got home I started work on a ridiculous clog in my sink. Really. It took all my womanly know how to bust that puppy up!:lmao:

We are back to temps in the 60s, with rain in the forecast. {sigh}
But we did have sun today, at least there's that. :thumbsup2

I took DS7 to the library today; he's halfway through his 1,000 minutes of reading for the county library's reading program. At the 500 minute mark they give away a small prize, usually a coupon for a free personal pizza at Pizza Hut, and then at 1000 minutes they give away a cool prize! Last year it was a journal with a calculator built in to the cover. The year before it was a small book bag. We use it for carrying and storying library books.

Anyway, so we gathered up his books that are about due, and headed out; I was going to stop by the store on the way home, and since DH had a phone (work) meeting, we brought Ds4 with us.

I pulled into the parking lot and started getting Ds4 out of the truck. I reminded DS7 to grab his books and paperwork, and he says, "Paperwork? What paperwork?" :confused3

I said, "Sweetheart! The paperwork that you're using to track your reading minutes. The one you need to show the librarian to get your prize?" I wanted to say HELLOOOOOO! but I didn't...

He says, "But I thought you had the paperwork. Didn't you bring the paperwork, Mama?"

I: "Ummmm, no. I did not have the paperwork, and I did not bring it. That's your paperwork, and your responsibility." I was a little peeved! :sad2:

He  and squealed, "But.... We HAVE to have the paperwork! Mama, we have to go back home RIGHT NOW!"

I told him I was sorry, but we were NOT going back home. He'd just have to return the books he borrowed, and we'd head on over to the grocery store. He was bummed. Oh well, maybe next time he'll remember the dang paperwork!
