:lmao: Yep, hunting is an excused absence at our high school if arranged prior to the trip. Check this out, page 9, section 2, paragraph C. Not only is hunting excused, but so is fishing, but apparently only if it's a family trip, so I guess that means Mom has to go also! And so are "Out of State" trips, so I guess that means we have to go to Disney for a vacation instead of Seattle. : http://www.woodlandschools.org/files/pages/whs/whshbk.pdf

wow, your dd's school has a TON of strict rules. The one I really question is the "no head covering allowed" but they didn't list an exception for religious belief (For example: Muslim girls who choose to veil) ?

*** Looked at J's rules.. they don't mention it wither, yet they have a rule that they can choose not to do pledge of allegience due to personal or religious beliefs. ******

Interesting they broke down every single possible "crime" and the punishment. The Nexus clause is interesting too, gee whiz.. no chance to be naughty at all

And by the way, what good excused absences from school do you City Dwellers have??:confused3 :lmao:

Excused:
Illness
Family emergency
senior, college visits out of state

Part day only:
medical /professional appts
after health office visit/emergency during school day

Pre arranged: Excused only with approval of the vice principal and within guidelines of the school district rules...

And then we have "Unapproved absences".. parent approves BUT school does not approve for things like hair appts, vacations, driver's test.

(basically get it pre-arranged or umm lie .. he was sick, :rolleyes1 really sick. )

We could get away with vacations mid year in Elementary-- but I won't now that J is in high school. It's just too much work to make up. Besides, with hubby now teaching.. we can only go during scheduled breaks.

When we lived in St Cloud they asked us to bring them in .. even if only for part of day... before appts or start of vacations, that way the district gets "credit" for attendance for NCLB rules. $$$$

no vacations are allowed...but if its "educational" you must submit paperwork to the board...like scientific...counting waves....space center....(last year my principal friend told me what to write because our vacation was already scheduled and the boys had tons of snow days ruin it....

Wow! What an awesome afternoon. My boss came in and gave me a "project" to work on. They got a call this morning and they have received a good liver match for her! She is going into surgery around 6pm tonight at the Children's Hospital in Seattle.

So this afternoon my boss made the donation of the remaining $10,600

She is a darling little girl and here is their blog:http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahbizgan

So everyone say a prayer for Sarah tonight. :flower3:

oh wow!

That is just awesome of your boss to donate the needed funds. :goodvibes

Poor lil one and her family have had some rough times. Big changes ahead with transplant.. hope it's sucessful!!!:flower3:

I changed some of my classes today....i removed my sat. class and signed up for another blackboard class....my schedule stinks so I tried to move it around a little to better fit my needs and have my weekends

mmmmmmmm, I'm hungry.. I don't think I ate dinner??

We haven't quite figured out a routine for dialysis and dinner hour...

oh yes, today was my "crap I forgot a clamp" moment. Spewing saline all over the place.. OOPS! Hubby had fun laughing at me with that one..

oh and he added to the color of the carpet again.. this time he seeped out from under his bandage.. drip drip drip, it wasn't down tight enough.

I think I'm gonna buy some 4x4 guaze bandages, they sent teeny tiny 2x2's in the supplies.. waaaaaaaaaaay too small :headache:

hubby grilled me an excellent steak...it was just us to so we kinda cheated with dinner,,,,wendys pot.and salad and steak on the grill....i love how he can get away with that

Cool, it's hard to juggle it all .. but it will be worth it right??
For awhile there I thought hubby would never be done with school--arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh made my head spin trying to keep track of everyone's schedule.

Whic is probably why I'm hesitant to go to school myself-- thinking: why screw up our lives more right now?? :confused3

:rotfl: would it be wrong of me to say I am already looking forward to christmas and springbreak......
