Hola Hyenas,

Yesterday my bf assembled the drawers I bought from Ikea last weekend. It's 3 deep drawers that has lots of space. We put it inside the closet and I was able to fit many of my purses in there. It's all organized and neat. Then on the top shelf of my closet I have a few more purses and I also put some tote bags, backpacks and messenger bags in storage bins in the garage. My closet was such a mess and I had piles of purses all on top of each other and it was unorganized. At least now it's all neat and looks nice. :)

My bf found a huge empty box in the garage and I threw all the clothes and purses and such to donate.

When I got off of work we went to Fry's Electronics. I didn't find anything good there and they are still sold out of the Wii Fit. Then we had dinner at Black Angus and then went over to Walmart. I bought the Gazelle Edge from Walmart. I read reviews on it online and they were all positive. I'm just tired of feeling like some tubby cow and this way I could exercise and listen to music or watch TV while working out.

Good Afternoon Ladies. Just wanted to check in and make sure that all of our So. Calif. people's are ok, just read about the quake. Sounds like only minor injuries, but wanted to say hope you are all doing well.

I have spent the morning on the phone with Qwest trying to get our email and internet service fixed. I narrowed the problem down to our modem, but these idiot people insist it can't be the Qwest supplied modem. Needless to say I have a call into Comcast, they now had broadband available in our area and we are switching.

I switched router hubs, still no or very slow internet. So it's not the router hub. It's happening on multiple computers, so it's obviously not a computer problem. Qwest says the phone line is fine, so that's not the problem. Well people guess what, I'm not a rocket scientist, but that only leaves 1 more area, the Motorola Modem that Qwest supplies for the IDSL service.

This idiot lady on the phone that speaks English as a 29th language keeps telling me that I need to contact my IT department (lady, I am the IT department!), oh someone must have loaded new software on your computer (lady, there is me and my 2 bosses, they wouldn't have a clue what software was, let alone how to load it on a computer), oh you must have a virus on all of your computers (lady, 4 of those computers are not being used, when I tested them today they couldn't get on the internet also...plus we have Macafee on demand virus scan), oh let me transfer you to another department.

I spent over 4 hours on the phone today before I found a knowledgeable person. He was just as stumped as I was and then informs me it must be the modem, but there is only one problem, Qwest no longer has IDSL modems and they are very hard to find. That's like selling someone a car, but there is no gasoline to run on!

So I got mad this afternoon and went into our cabinet that houses all the phone & internet electronics. I banged the modem on the top of the file cabinet hard 2 times and then threw it across the floor. I hooked it back up and guess what...it works just fine now!

Anyway, we are going to be switching to Comcast anyway, because there is no sense dealing with the nightmare of Qwest that really is trying to phase out the IDSL service anyway.

Time for a spot of tea I say! It's either that or a really good tranquilizer to calm me down and keep me from going postal with Qwest!:lmao:

OMG, Sam! :rotfl2:

That reminds me of the old days, when we had black and white TV and rabbit ears! When the picture got fuzzy and somebody had to go adjust the rabbit ears, they'd be perfect as long as the person was still touching them. As soon as they let go, it was fuzzy again. :rotfl:

The last resort was when my dad would get so frustrated he'd walk up to the TV and give it a couple whacks. And by golly, sometimes it worked! :lmao:

I need a drink, too. Something tall and cool, not necessarily medicated... although...! ;) :lmao:

I might pop back from the laptop downstairs...

Obviously you didn't figure out the apple on the rabbit ears trick. We used to stick an apple onto the end of the antenna, I think the weight and moisture combined was enough to trick the rabbit ears into thinking a person was standing there holding onto the antenna. Don't know why or who in my family thought of it, but it worked pretty good.:lmao:

I seriously thought I was probably going to break the modem. But what did it matter, it wasn't working anyway.:lmao:

Whoa! Where did you come from??? :lmao:

I was just going to post and leave because no one was here. So HELLO! :thumbsup2

We had a ROCKING good time at the Y today. We took the beasties swimming, because Alex was super anxious to show his dad how good he is at swimming. OMG. Just since SUNDAY he is doing way better! He was swimming under the water!! Face totally in the water, all over the pool.. Side to side without stopping. Its just incredible! After only 5 weeks of classes!!! Im telling you, this kid was so freaked out by the water before the classes, he would have a COW if his face went anywhere near the water.

Mikalah was doing the same thing! All under the water and such. Out-freaking-STANDING!!!:cool1: :cool1:

We did a little Walmart shopping today. It's a little further away, so I only go there 2 or 3 times a year. But I found some Wrangler jeans for $11 (for DS7), so bought 4 pair for school. He hasn't tried them on yet, and they look a little big, but that's OK. Last year I think when school started he was still wearing 6s, but within a month or two he needed 7s. We picked up several other miscellaneous items, including the item I was looking for, plain white t-shirts. We're going to do a tie-dye project and I bought t-shirts for the boys and DH, but I didn't want a male cut shirt, so I had trouble finding some with a more feminine shape. But I found some at Walmart. :thumbsup2
