Good Morning and Hello!
Busy Busy Busy at the Garcia house
Unpacked the very last few boxes (aren't you proud of me Alison?)
found an empty storage locker in apt basement (thank goodness someone moved out and left an empty.. I think our creepy apt manager is using one for cleaning supplies, why I don't know considering he has the boiler room key??) for all of our camping equipment..
Making room for the delivery of dialysis supplies
At least it was enough motivation to set up the rest of the apt, no more books piled behind the couch.
Last training day (not much training, we have been left on our own for the most part) today, get our machine this afternoon.
Over the weekend we went to my MIL's .. we had planned to stay two nights, bailed after just one. Not a comfy night's sleep and MIL was getting on both of our nerves.
She harped on hubby's smoking-- so we harped back on her high blood pressure
She was generaly grumbley and saying how she needs to work all the time.. because "what else can I do, I don't have anyone at home to take care of" ummmm take time for yourself and enjoy life??
We tossed out a comment about "you have two grandchildren to visit" , she tossed back "I am a grandmother in name only" -- okay so I got pissed at that

and gave a crack back "and whose fault is that?".
She didn't say anything back...
Anyway, as hubby said as we left.. she was "fatalistic about everything" , personally I think she is depressed that she is losing her house, losing a job (compnay is being shipped off to Mexico), and life as she knows it for the last 23 years is going to make a HUGE change.
She has known that this day was coming for over a year now, but she has a tendency to stick her head in the sand.. ignoring the future.
Oh yes.. and she keeps telling E that she will donate her kidney "I don't care what the doctors say. I'm doing it"
ummmm he doesn't want your kidney and no doctor who wants to continue practice medicine will let you-- so shut up and accept your son's decision to forgo a transplant for the time being !
(High blood pressure, undiagnosed neuro problem causing black outs/fainting, history of blood clot in lung, removed part of lung-- she can NOT be a donor)
THEN to make life interesting... SIL offered up her kidney to hubby, but she was nice about it. Very sincere and said the offer was out there when he was ready. awwwwwwwww she's so sweet!
soooooooooo Maybe next summer

It take a good three months to recover from surgery and adjust to meds.
umm and BIL is living off of student loans. He has SEVERAL and is at risk of getting his car repoed, yes he took a loan against his car-- DORK. He offered to pay for us to watch the Batman movie at an IMAX theatre-- told him he was NUTS (it was be $15-$20 a person) . He smiled and said "that's what loans are for"
Crazy crazy people I tell ya!!
