Thank you.
Good night.

Good night.

Well, I suppose I should scoot off to bed. DH is leaving very early (5:30, I think?) He kissed me before going to bed tonight, saying he wouldn't see me again until after the surgery since his dad is going to take him downtown. So I asked him to wake me before he leaves. He looked surprised and said, "Really?" I said yeah. I just want to give him a hug and say good luck.
Last time he had knee surgery he had chest pain coming out of it, so they kept him in the hospital overnight afterward. So I definitely want to see him before he goes.![]()
But it is going to be ugly-early!!! Uff!
Good Morning Sweet Hyenas! So sorry I haven't been on much lately, but getting my sister through this ordeal has become my TEMPORARY #1 priority lately.
So here's an update, parts good, parts not so good....
Proctor mom called Sunday around 9am, to let us know that a court visitor would be at her home on Sunday at 10am. We were scheduled to pick him up at 11am. She said he might not be ready by 11am. We told her that was ok, we would drive over anyway and call as we exited the freeway. If the court visitor was still there, then we would go to the mall to look around and wait for her call. Luckily, she "sweet as syrup" said he was ready.
As we pulled into the driveway the court visitor's car was there (we believe). She came to the door sweet as apple pie, dressed like Donna Reed! She NEVER wears a dress, but oh she was this day. When she sweetly answered the door I wanted to ask "where is PM and what have you done to her?". She was puttin' on the show for the court visitor.
Anyway, it was very obvious that Tyler was scared to go with us. But luckily we had stopped at the Dollar Tree the night before and bought some funny hats, big pink tie with polka dots, and glasses with mustache disguise. So he laughed and we were able to take him without much fuss. He did however stop in the driveway and grab onto her car. We did not take him out of the state of Oregon, as she instructed us....GRRRR!!! My kids were racing at PIR, so we took him there for a family outing.
The entire time on the way over he kept looking out the window and asking for "Nana", what he calls PM. We assured him that he would be going back to Nana's house that night. Once he seen his cousins and the action of the motorcycles, he pretty much quit asking for Nana and became more comfortable. He started getting a bit bored around 3pm, right before the kids raced, so we left right after their races. We stopped at his favorite store "Goodwill", nearby his home, then my DS, Tyler, my sister and I had dinner. During dinner he seen a car similar to hers in the parking lot and started getting worried again.
I went ahead and asked him "Tyler, did Nana say that mom was bad"? I also said "Tyler did Nana say that Mom would take him away and he would never see Nana again"? He answered yes to both and started looking very worried. Rocking in his seat and asking for Nana. Once again we both reassured him that he would go back to Nana's after dinner.
As we approached his neighborhood and he recognized the streets, he didn't become excited, but instead had a relieved look on his face. He has always had so much fun and has always been so excited to see his mom, me and cousins every few months. It was very obvious that they have spent the last few months brainwashing him about his month. We are both so mad that she has done this to him. There is no need to tell him stuff like that, at this point PM is not looking out for him!
Had my sister not ran into PM at the beach and had the court visitor not been at her house when we picked him up, I'm sure #1 we might not have seen him at all adn #2 things wouldn't have been nearly as pleasant.
Anyway, the attorney said we should hear from the judge early this week. So once again, just sitting and waiting.
What?!
Hannah Montana 3D glasses???Huh?

Hannah Montana 3D glasses???
Ah, yes. I do remember you two talking about that.![]()
DH is doing fine. I think! He's on heavy duty narcotics, of course. And probably because of that doing too much walking. He's supposed to be taking it easy and keeping his leg elevated for the next 3 days. He's not supposed to drive while the surgery drugs are wearing off (24 hours) and taking the narcotics (approx. 3 days.) I know this because I made a point of reading his post-op instructions!
So he says, "Ummm... So are you going to have a cow if I go into the office on Wednesday?" On one hand, I was thrilled that it sounded like he was planning to stay home tomorrow.![]()
On the other hand I was annoyed because HE KNOWS he's supposed to take it easy and keep his leg elevated and NOT DRIVE for 3 days! And I was glad I'd just read the post-op instructions, so I told him, "Hmmmm... You aren't allowed to drive, so I really don't see how you're going to get to the office anyway. And you need to keep your leg up and take it easy. So I'm guessing you'll be home at least through Thursday."![]()
He hung his headand asked, "So does that mean you're going to be a pain about this?" and I said, "Absolutely!"
