Like today he was doing his "snap and tap" which basically means tapping and pulling the tubing lines (just primed with saline) -- well E got a little crazy with the snapping -- POP-- he snapped the line right off it's connector, spraying saline all over the place.

We kinda freaked-- umm do we need to start over (need to keep it all sterile) , but it didn't drop to the floor, didn't touch his hand-- we were good to go.
Blood doesnt bother me.. Unless its oozing out of someone. The bleach will stain, obviously. But the blood should wipe off. But when its muggy out, he might stick to it.

Awesome! I hate it when Dr.s dont have a sense of humor.. Heck, I hate it when ANYONE doenst have a sense of humor. Once, when Alex was little he had the stomach flu. I took him to the dr. and told him that dh had just gotten over a case of the poos, so that might be where he got it from. The dr said.... well, I wonder what the technical term for that would be? Lesheets?besides, it will be one more way to torture him-- have I mentioned I really want to gve him his EPO shot? muahahhaha
It's tiny needle given SubQ once a week, basically in the belly fat (like an insulin needle)
He told one of the nurses that I want to stick him.. she laughed and replied
"She can say.. Come here dear ! Let me poke your fat!"
Hubby and I were dying trying not to laugh too loudly and disturb other patients..
I hope she pops back in again, some of the nurses are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too serious.
Like I said.. our guy nurse was kinda scattery and didn't teach us much. The nurse today was very nice and gave us lots of encouragement, tips to handle alarms and taught us the best methods.

I bet he can be cool.. it's just that I think we threw him off.. he arrived late and had to work on his own due to another co-worker being out sick. And tehn here we are-- the odd crazy couple who knows alot already and he already knows how to stick himself. We also are not ones to ask a ton of questions, learn by watching kinda thing.
