Alison, what kind of vacuum is it? I have an Oreck and I love it but since I dont have carpet anymore I dont see its sucking power too much because anything comes off of wood BUT I would love to know in case we ever do need another vacuum or anyone else does.

Wow. It's not often DH is speechless, but you did it, Shawna!

First he said, "Ummm... That's good to know, I guess... So, she does an Italian wax? Or what?" (He didn't know what a Brazilian wax was until I told him.) He says it's good that you shave your armpits, he's quite happy about that.

Nair people, NAIR!! It is just so amazing what you can do with an unrolled cotton ball to cover sensitive areas and 10 minutes of Nair! I have no idea why anyone would subject themselves to the pain of hot wax when a chemical alternative is readily available!

It is a Bissell Momentum Cyclonic. Was on sale at Kohl's for $79, it was $50 off!! Now I don't normally get excited over a vacuum cleaner and I've had a couple of fairly expensive one's, but never had I had one that cleaned as good as this. It has so much suction power that when you turn the power on it starts pulling you across the floor! I have now vacuumed our floors about 3 times and it's still pulling cup fulls of dirt out of it. I read some reviews on it after I got home and everyone says the same thing, prepare to be amazed at how much dirt you will pull out of your carpets.

sweet! You can sleep on our couch.. while the cat jumps from room to room she's a bit nutsy as we were gone overnight.

Hubby's birthday was on the 5th and we had my annual family gathering at my parent's lake property today.

Saturday.. picked up DN TheMarine tm, dialysis early and last minute before we headed out the door.. I caught a reservation at an indoor water park resort in Duluth.
Told DN's parents not to say anything to my Dad-- he would have had a fit if he knew we came a day early and stayed in town at a hotel.

Had a total BLAST at the water park, went to bed exhuasted as we played around in the park for 4 hours.

Hubby was VERY happy with his birthday-- wants to go back

And then we had miserable day at my parent's house-- but what else is new .. grrr. My dad is a complete you know what hole and I got pissed off several times while I was there.. to the point that I had enough and decided to leave.. that and the humidity and the bugs were driving me crazy.

I swear.. if my mom is wanted by the police some day.. I will know why!!

So today we had a girl day and we went and got a mani/pedi. I've already ruined my mani! This is why I dont get them very often. I just cant keep nail polish on to save my life. I have very long natural nails and the lady convinced me that I should flaunt what I got so to speak because most people pay for nails like mine and I should show them off. Well they sure are showing off with a nice chip in them!

Then we went to see the American Girl movie. Very cute. Morgan brought her American Girl and she just loved it. Everyone said how cute she was to bring her doll along to the movie.

Then we went to the mall to buy new tap shoes. Darned if those things aren't expensive. They are $79 but I have to replace them twice a season due to her growing so much. Ok I guess thats not a huge expense but when you have to keep buying them at such a young age they are. Especially when there are $19 tap shoes that she could buy but with the kind of tap she does and the ones the studio requires of course they are the expensive ones. She has sprouted a 1 1/4" in the past month! Standing at 57 inches tall.


Then we went to On the Border for dinner. Yummy. Looks like it was a mexican night all around.

Jake and Jeff laid around in their underwear and watched Indiana Jones movies all day. I guess they did hit the pool but mostly watched tv.

My last one was a real cheap one, it was only about $30, but lasted about 5 years. So I guess I got my $30 worth out of it. It was a good vacuum, but the last week it quit picking stuff up. My last one and new one are both the ones that have the cups you empty and foam filters that you can wash out in the sink. Nothing more to buy!

It's owned by the people who work there, attached to the co-op market. Gets rave reviews in the local freebie paper.

Pepper kitty decided to say hello to you Bernice! Our little kitties are getting so big now.

Pepper (female) is the world's most obnoxious cat. She meows at us all the time, she is very high maintenance and wants attention constantly.

Max (male) sleeps a lot and is getting huge! He is a very good mouser. He has caught about 5 baby gophers, lots of shrews and a few mice. He very politely deposits them into a pile near our side garage door.
