My guess is that is the problem. DH saw his dad when they were out of town this weekend. His dad had just gotten back from his Mississippi (going there and then will die) trip. So needless to say, a lot of crazy emotions. DH is pretty ticked that he would say that to him, he is taking what he says 100% seriously and from what I have seen the last couple of days has pretty much checked out. Hopefully when he gets home I can talk to him and try to knock some sense into him. He gets random bursts where he wants to exercise/eat better, but nothing long lasting. He is going to play flag football and softball here in a couple of weeks, so hopefully that will get him moving. We also just bought a spa that should be here end of the month, so that will help with tired/sore muscles, and hopefully motivate him to do more.
Oh good grief, I forgot about the Mississippi trip. :rotfl:

So is your DH convinced his dad is about to pass over, or does he think that's silly? It would be ironic if he thought THAT was silly but took the other seriously. :confused3

No kidding! Good thing I didn't mention that place to you yesterday, huh? ;)

No kidding - I would have had to get yet another keyboard!!!

He is taking both very seriously. I just got off the phone with him (at least he admits now that he was cranky, not that it was all me). Says he can't even think about it without crying. I don't know what to do with him :confused3 . The whole thing though is he is not nearly that old yet - can't he wait a few years to freak out???

Oh my, it is so sad. One of the guys I worked for a few years back got laid off, and asked if I would be a reference. This happened a couple years back, and he instantly got the job (granted I swear to you the lady on the phone nearly offered it to me). Well, just got another call. After about 5 minutes the guy asked where I was working now and if I was happy  . Hopefully the guy I referenced will be a close 2nd :lmao:

Yeah, is he even 30 yet??? It's a bit early for something like this. Is he always so gullible with stuff his dad says? What does his mother think of all this???

He is 31 too. He is always pretty gullible, but just very sensitive when it comes to things like that.

He can't watch a sad movie without crying. He bawled at DD's dance recital when they did the special performance (the directors cancer came back). He is very, very sensitive.

Awww, that's so hard. I'm sure he really respects his father, and to truly think that his dad is dying is hard enough, but to think he himself will... I can see how that put him over the edge.

He seems to be doing a bit better already now that he has at least told me and we have kind of talked about it. He is not one to keep things in, so if he has been stewing over this for the last 5 days no wonder he has been such a grouch. The good news is I am off tonight, so we will go to tball and then have the rest of the night - hopefully that will help :goodvibes I am sure I have ways to make him not think about it ;)

You are a good wife, dizzy.

:lmao:

DH doesn't mind, he just thinks we're all nuts. :rotfl:

:lmao: It just all depends on what kind of mood DH is in. If he is cranky, and he sees me on the computer he gets almost resentful. Don't know why. The other 95% of the time he asks me how you all are doing :confused3

Wow - only 3 months until my "maybe" trip to DL. Not sure how the work thing will pan out. The other thing (that I never in a hundred years would have thought about) is DN would have to get permission to go - not sure how easy it is for them to say yes. I figure we are taking him to DL, sounds pretty harmless, right??? Not sure what it takes to get approved :confused3

Does DN have a court appointed representative (parole officer, juvenile whatever officer) that you can call and ask questions? Or do you have to wait until the next court date? Hopefully there's someone you can call and ask questions so it isn't a last minute surprise/disappointment. If wheels need to start grinding, best to get that going early, courts move notoriously slowly!

What's up Staley? No more police smiley? Bad girls, bad girls, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? :yay:

Hey, you two! Grab a drink and join the conversation. :)

Right now we are still pretty much in limbo. His sentencing is the 8th of August, but he has to meet with his probation officer next week. The thing though is it starts in Mesa, and then we have to request a transfer up to here. So we are already kind of pushing our luck (not that it doesn't happen, it just takes some work)
Hello, I am on my break now. popcorn::
Hey Pix!!!
puckerup: Afternoon, gals!
Hey Staley!!!

So he has a probation officer you can talk to now? I'd talk with him/her about the DL trip, and also about getting (what?) transferred to closer to home. Get what info you can beforehand, you know?
