Because they are too embarrased to let anyone on the other car forums know they drive a Kia Spectra. :lmao: My apologies in advance to anyone here driving a Kia Specta.
:lmao: :lmao: Thats what I was thinking!
Staley- are you feeling better today?
:thumbsup2 Much! Physically I feel fine... But I am still WAY crabby. Oh well.. They will just have to DEAL!:lmao:

OMG. I want to SLAP this idiot. Thinks her monkey is a CHILD. IDIOT. I hope she knows that she looks like a TOTAL FREAK. If only I could punch her in the back of the head.

CRAP! :headache:

We need to give DS4 this oral steroid med; I picked it up today and waited until DH was home so we could try to give it to him together.

DH first mixed it up in a batch of Gatorade, then tasted it. He said it was horrible, and he had trouble getting the taste out of his mouth.

He said there was NO WAY DS would drink that, so we tossed it, and mixed a 2nd dose into some chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce. Again DH tasted it, and again gagged. Since DS has a very strong gag reflex anyway, there is just NO WAY he will eat this! I'm so frustrated, but I know he's right.

So now what??? He's itching like crazy, and I don't know what else to do. I'll call the doc tomorrow and tell her the med was a no go. :(

Well there's always the put it into a syringe and force it down the back of his throat. Not an easy way, but it does work.

Some of the pharmacies have flavors that they can add to kids medicines for a few bucks. Might try calling and see if they will do that.:thumbsup2

They have over 15,000 company operated stores, so doubt if 600 will make a dent. Said they were only closing under-performing stores.
They may have 15,000 worldwide, and I'm not sure if that includes franchises. The 600 stores closing are non-franchises within the US.

The only ones I know of around here are inside Barnes and Noble or Super Target

oh wait.. there is one in the nice little strip mall next to the grocery/walmapart

we hardly ever go there because we walk across to Chipotle intead-- get too stuffed and never make it back for coffee

hmmm, on second thought.. it might be a Caribou (MN version of Starbuck's, very yummy wild mexican mocha.. but their cold frapp type drinks are not as good as Starbuck's.. patooooooie!)

I bet htere are ton of Starbuck's in South metro-- more affluent demographic.. us poor working folks don;t need no stinkin fancy coffee stuff.. ayap!:rolleyes1

I tried that at Sav-On once. It didn't work with Robitussin. It made it taste worse! :lmao:

There are 4 Starbucks here....all within close distance to each other. I'm not sure if they are closing any of those. :confused3

I bought Amp today. It actually kept me awake at work after only a few sips. It worked more effectively than my caramel frapp from Starbucks. :confused3
There is a place here called It's A Grind but their coffees don't taste good. That and when I went there, I saw a guy using WiFi on his laptop and I swear to the heavens he looked EXACTLY like Santa Clause. Maybe he was e-mailing his naughty and nice list to the North Pole. :rotfl:

We used to have to hold Alex down, shoot the meds in, and blow in his face really fast. Makes him swallow instead of spitting it back out.

Peter Bocian, Starbucks CFO, says areas with heavy saturation of stores will see some of those locations close, because "that will still allow Starbucks customers to enjoy the Starbucks experience" (at another location.)

But I thought they were supposed to be targeting underperforming stores. If all stores within a small radius are busy all the time, that's hardly "underperforming." :confused3

Alex, did you hear the bad news. Starbucks is closing down 600 of it's stores in the US.

The good news though is it should only cover about a 5 block radius!:lmao:

Good! They need to replace Starbucks with Hot Chocolate restaurants. :goodvibes

We have... ummmmm... 3 in Lakewood Town Center. Then one right by my house. Oh, no. 4 in the town center. If you count the ones in the stores. Plus a coffee place in every parking lot.

My sister was seriously SHOCKED when she came to visit once by how many coffee places we had.

We have a new one in the area called Bikini Bottom... Guess what THEY wear?:lmao: :lmao:

oh yes.. use the force!

And kick Pixie off in 15 minutes.. but be careful not to bruise her delicate peachy skin ;)

We may be poor backwoodsy folks here, but you can bet when I keel over and die with my flannel shirt on, the undertaker will have to remove my death grip from my Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte!

OMG! That reminds me...today when I was getting on the freeway to head to the doctor's office I seen a nice blue 15-passenger van, pulling an old Airstream trailer. The Nevada licese plate read MR HOHO. Now this brought all sorts of things to mind, so I just had to see what type of weirdo was driving. Caught up with the van, it looks like a very nice older couple and they have an advertisment covering their van side window. It is Mr. & Mrs. HoHoHo. They have a singing Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus that come to your house!:lmao:
