Hubby and I got hooked on the Verminator show on Discovery channel. I could NOT do that type of work-- gag gag gag...

Last night they had an apt infested with all sorts of ickies.. the guy was a boozer and left everything behind

Roaches everywhere
heavy infestation of bedbugs
black widow spiders had made webs, catching bedbugs in them

Outside they found a closet full of africanized bees.

The apt complex on the outside looked very pretty, clean, well kept... Apt itslef looked just fine.. just one person that caused all that damage.

same here.. expecting rain in the evening on the weekend.. we are going to my parent's house as my DNTheMarine tm will be arriving back "home" on Saturday.

Kinda hope for hot.. it drives the mosquitos away, if it's cooler and rainy they come out for evening meal-- UGH!

ugh... I hate those things. I am hoping for rain.

I'm so very happy that the complex we lived in California did routine spraying. And kept the gardens and pool well maintained.. we had black widows outside but that was all.

I wonder if our guy here sprays?? we had weevils in our pantry, annoying but harmless. Just had to keep everything wrapped up/sealed.

I looked everywhere for any signs in this apt-- nothing. yeahhhhh!! it was easy to check considering the caretaker didn't clean

oooo yeah, forgot about those.. had them when we lived in Fridaly.. another Mpls suburb.

New owners came along and finally they sprayed and eventually destroyed the ant hills.

Our downstairs neighbors said they had left for a weekend, leaving out a bottel of syrup.. ants were all inside the botttle when they came back.. mmmmm ants on your pancakes anyone?

My Fipple, it's shakin like crazy cuz I got the eye patch removed today!

Also got my exercise and other restrictions removed today! The only restriction I have for the next few weeks is no sweating. Apparently sweat contains bacteria and they don't want it getting near my fipple until it's healed. So I can exercise, but no sweat. Plus I can do other fun things with DH, but no sweating!

Mine just switched to corkboards too. It's interesting to watch them change with whatever we talk about. Everytime one of us types DIS, the Dis N Dat Ringtones ad pops up!

Nope, it's real nasty stuff to get rid of if you get it. Some of it's even antibiotic resistant, plus it would be a little hard to explain it to your spouse, if you get my drift.

Nah, I just forget how young you are, since we have kids the same age. I conveniently forget how old I am too, see how nicely that works out for me?

Had a little excitement this evening. DH is grilling chicken and playing hoops with the boy (he's on medication and forgets how much his knee is killing him, the dork!) But I digress... So DS falls and scrapes his knee and carries on caterwauling, so they both come in and sit down in front of the tube for a bit. DH and I start talking, then all of a sudden he says, "Wow! That much smoke can't be good!" and dashes outside.

Yeah, that was our dinner on the grill. Blackened chicken, anyone?

Apparently there was so much fat dripping off the chicken onto a layer of foil DH installed underneath that the fat caught fire and WHOOSH! Flames and smoke shooting out from the grill! DH burned his arms a bit (and singed off his arm hairs) getting it contained.

So I ran out to Taco Time, and I'm a hero to the boys. All's well that ends well.
